Okay, I'm writing this DIY so I can take it off my sig. I don't know how many people were having my problem, but maybe you can learn from me.

Culprit: Drop Zone Camber kits (probably Ingalls too)

Whenever I would go down the road and either turn my wheel end to end I would hear a popping sound. I thought it was my ball joints, but after thorough inspection, I came to the conclusion they needed to be replaced but were not causing the sound. So, i started shaking the steering knuckle on the passenger side because that's where the sound was coming from. Sure enough the thing swayed left to right with little or no pressure at all. The bushings were totally loose.....now this could be because, once again drop zone products are pieces of shit, I have to spray my camber kits with lube every week because they squeak like a bitch. So I thought to myself, how the hell an i gonna fix this? I took out one of the camber kits and went to Lowe's (in my other car of course ;) ) I found four 3/4" flat washers that fit right around the bushing on the outside of the kit. Bought em, went home and started chanting "Please let them work." I had originally planned to put two on each camber kit. Didn't work out so I put one on each. It's perfect now, just make sure you put them on either the outsides or insides. I put mine on the insides closest to the coil springs. I thought that with one washer it would still be loose, but when I tightened em down, it was tight as hell. Success!

I had the same exact problem when I bought camber kits for my car. Bought them cheap on ebay...guess that what happens when you go the cheap way...anyways I inserted washers in between and are perfect now.

no car is too low for a camber kit.. you can customize them to fit any drop.

my boys 4" drop with 0 camber angle.. never had a issue with tires.

How does he keep his a-arm from banging a whole through his fender? Camber kits just push that thing out, and even an adjustable balljoint would bang at that extreme of a drop. I know because I speak from experience.

Strut tower braces are cut out, and he has a large custom welded strut bar on there.

Yes, thats the car with CC2 headlights, lambo doors, and 19" HRE wheels now.

Not very smart to be cutting that... its the subframe of the car. Its your car, do what you want tho. I know lots of people have done it, I just think its asking for trouble.

thats why he had the 2" metal car welded in there. it's removable but actually stronger now that the car is in there. he's had the car lowered 4+ inches for 5 years now and never had a problem.

the racing hart s15's in the picture (19's) with brand new tires are for sale also.

Is it true that the A-arm bangs out the subframe with extreme drops anyway? I heard somewhere that the banging just goes away and the strut tower brace 'makes room' for the a-arm...? Is that safe?

sure if it doesn't bend your a-arm or break your camber kit first. And it takes a while... i wouldn't recommend that either. better to bang it out yourself.

Are you talking about the control arms because i replaced the control arms and the tierods upper and lower bushings sway bushings and i still have that noise. If you could please post pics. I've only had this problem since I changed all this shit, but i need to get it fixed because it's getting worse and it seems like it's doing damage to something.

Can you get some pics and just show what parts your talking about because i don't know if you mean the sway bushings or the entire spindle knuckle. Well i need to know so my wheel doesn't break off but any way just let me know.

That only works for the rear. For the front you gotta do something with the UCA...either get a balljoint camber kit, get a new UCA with camber control, or get the anchor bolts. Personally I'm thinking about having some plates welded where the UCA mounts to the body and banging out the space for the UCA. I need new UCA's now though...

I need a camber kit. What would be the best one to get? I don't like this news of some of them failing, so I want to get one I won't have to worry about. Can anyone throw some names out and the reason the choose it?
