i have a friend who had a wrecked 1st gen eclipse turbo, and he is giving me the manifold for free(plus buy his lunch one day) and he said his smic is in perfect shape. i looked at it, and it doesn't even have a single bent fin at all, and it is really cleaned up. he said hed sell it for 30. since hes practically giving me the manifold, you think its a fair price? and if you're wondering he sold the 14b a long time ago so i have to find a turbo elsewhere

i need to find some injectors and a bov also why i am at it.

what is this drilling i hear about the manifolds. some people act like it bolts right up to your block, then i hear about drilling and stuff. what drilling? i need to knowthis before i dig in. ive been doing research a lot on this for the last month or so. plus i dont know anything about tuning, so someone else who does know will be taking care of that for me. immprolly gonna replace my fuel pump to be on the safe side. i also only wanna run about 7 or 8 lbs. on this motor on its stock internals.(f22a4)

Here, AccordR33 showed a nice pic of what you have to do to redrill the manifold, doesn't look too bad. And I would definitely suggest getting a Walbro fuel pump. It might make it run a little rich, but it'll definitely help your car from going too lean. And $30 for a mint SMIC is hella cheap with the manifold. It's only $30, shit you could sell it for more if you ended up not wanting it.

$30 is a great price tag

You can re-use it or make some money if you want to sell it.

I would suggest sand blasting the exhaust manifold over wire brushing it.. the best way to get any metal completely clean and to find stress cracks.. then you can add yourself a coat of POR or ceramic to it afterwards.
