O.K. This is the official Dutchaccord roofspoiler DIY :boink:
Ull need:
-3mm thick Plastic board (it needs to be an elastoplast)
-lots of bondo
-Poly Urethane Foam (PUR)
-A piece of black sticker
-Black silicone
-3rd brake light (optional)
-Paint
-transparant paper
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid81/p13fd393ba707aa82620e174768744846/faf008f7.jpg
ok lets get started:
First of ull need to get the exact measurements taken from the car. (i used semi transparant paper)

Now stick the paper on to the piece of plastic board, and jigsaw ur way around (grind it to a perfect fit it's a lot of work)
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid81/p2c0b817f15dcc8f433b51fb0ee5b3899/faf00919.jpg
test the fit.........
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid81/p6363eeb22a115048649b718cb12bab21/faf00914.jpg
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid81/ped3b6e39e6af6977ecc8550210cf8c7d/faf00911.jpg
Now u can bend it. I used the rear window as a mold.... use a heatgun to CAREFULLY preheat the rear window. Heat 1 corner of the plastic til it becomes bendable, place it on the rear window and stick it in to place..... let it cool down completely and repeat this in the other side (place it exactly on the same point on the other side of the window so the curves match.)step a bend the board so u know wich bend ull need

step b BEND IT
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid81/p33644642393ea8967515ede68b7e6d45/faf008f8.jpg
it should look like this
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid81/pc538fd9291b11b36d0ef962b0ad4a070/faf008f3.jpg
To fix the shape i filled the cavaty with PUR foam
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid81/p0ed7cfff8935b35ad7213a7c66ead080/faf008ee.jpg
Cut the foam back (about 1.5 cm )

Now its bondotime
-Roughen the surface of the plastic board so the bondo wil grip.
-bondo the outer edge
-then get the roofspoiler of and remove the rest of the PUR foam
-place brakelight
-fil it out using bondo
-grind
-fit
-grind
-fit
-grind
-fit (yes it's a long proces)

after a lot of grinding and painting is this the result:::::

http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid81/pd0a7f374d02264033c25c28a4bc86994/faf008fd.jpg
Putting it on the car
get a black sticker and cut it in the same shape as the roofspoiler (so u cant see the silicone from the inside)
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid81/p9b56b14bfca02ed434793abaec74369c/faf008e2.jpg
Put sufficiant silicone on there (degrease surfaces!!!!)

I always loved those on 1995-2001 745 il's I would have never thought to put one on my Accord.
I'll be honest though I would much rather pay you to build it for me then to build one myself. If your intrested PM with how much finacial compensation you are looking for.

i'd want to mass produce them, but
A) havent got the time, and
B) there woldent be enough market potential fot it (i guess)
Stefan
Just to clarify the bondo proces:

yeah i think u should start a thread and see if u get some people to buy this b/c i am telling u i would most def buy one b/c it looks so cool. I'd would be the first one out here with one on a cb7. So i think you should give it another shot and start a new thread and see if people would want to buy them if u made them. B/c even thought you put up a how-to we are lazy well i am not speaking for everyone but i know i am and ill probally ending messing it up so many times and spending so much money . So it will save time and moneyand at the same timme you will make money if you sold one to me and ohter on this forum. Just putting my to CENTS into it. lol well thats all.

He is considering it, He is very busy with school right now though. I'm sure when his studies are threw he will make a jig to easilly mass produce them.
At the time being it's really time consuming just to make one.

Great job! i've been looking for these rear window visors as well.. I might have access to some 5th gen visors from abroad, I'll have to look into it though. But if i'll be able to order a bunch, would you guys be interested in ordering 5th gen visors and we'll just have to retro fit it to our own cb's?

that will be pretty cool man, its just a question of how much of a retrofit it will take?

Amazing write up and great work! Very innovative.
Best DIY evar. I want pics back :( Hmm when I start the bodywork on my car I will probably make one of these, minus the brake light, but mold an antenna into it instead :) I think I am keeping my stocker fin, they may match! Hehee.

you should take it off, make a mold, and possibly find a material that if light, yet hard and stronf that would hold up well but not be SUPER heavy (since most likely the entire visor would be one solid piece of material so reduce the production costs)

No and no.
I tested my broke cb7 rear visor spoiler on several hondas already to see which rear window has a similar shape and dimensions that might be good for a retrofit. Out of these vehicles I can already say those two posted above won't be a good match for our CBs.
The rear window on a CD 94-97 is flatter compared to our bubble rounded rear window. However there is one taiwanese rear visor spoiler that will work...however it's not a perfect fit because it doesn't clear all the way on both ends and leaves a gap....so looking at obviously u can tell it doesn't belong on the car. I've seen 3 different versions of these floating around on e-bay and none of them look like the one that will fit.
The second spoiler u posted (white) won't fit either because the rear window on those sedans are flat as well. As for the coupes...I haven't tried but they sorta have a more bubble shaped rear window.
