i finally got the h23, its from my friendsprelude, thats in the same car club as me. he swaped his h23 prelude to a h22. his car was turbo before, so i know how the car ran with the turbo. he gave me the h23 turbo manifold. but I WANT VTEC. and i also WANT TURBO. so here are my questions:
h23 turbo pro/cons
h23/h22 head n/a pro/cons
h23/h22 turbo pro/cons
i can work the h23 but it still not good enough in my eyes
this cars is a daily driver. so i want something with power, go on gas <i guess> it handles like a dream. basiclly i dont knwo what i want. i would like opinions

If it were me I wouldn't take that H23 motor to any high amount of psi.. they aren't that strong. It's well known that the H22 isn't gonna last past 6 psi unless you plan on dumping 5-6k into the setup (sleeved and all).
Your best bet would be F22/H23 head or F22/H22 which was recently done on honda-tech.
Having an H23 manifold isn't as valuable as a H22 manifold. The H23 shares the same pattern as the F22a1 which many people like to use DSM parts.
I say if you want out of the box reliability & VTEC then get a junkyard F22b1 + Harness and work with that.

i have an f22 turbo and vtec. I went with the f22a block and put an f22b head on it which is sohc vtec. I decided to keep the stock computer and hooked the vtec solinoid onto a vafc from apexi...all of htis i got from ebay. the vafc is also my piggyback feul computer and it works mint. Set the vtec and the feul curve, you cant go wrong! total was prob like 3 bills for the head and vafc. The turbo i have is an ihi , and i am actually selling one right now and a manifold that will bolt right to the f22b head. It is the one i was running last summer, but i just got another turbo so i am building another one. The f22 also has some aftermarket support when it comes to rods and pistons and such. I need to upgrade bc i am looking to run 15 psi, so i need forged rods and pistons and rings. A ring in mine blew so i had to put in another engine for winter.

and i ahve a h23 manifold works on a f22 as well:boink:
