Just bumping this area because it said that welding and fabricating has no new post in the last 30 days. I didn't see anyone weld in a roll cage yet. IDEA! When I'm gettin big money (yea, ok, ok... we all know I am broke ), and my CB is right, I'm weld in a sickening roll cage.
No more lonely section. So what I was bored.

I hope your good at fabrication and welding, because a roll cage thats not done right, is more dangerous then having no cage.

I think chromoly tubing (or maybe steel, it will be strong but heavy) is the way to go. And I to want learn how to weld. I am fairly good at picking up stuff very quickly. A good welding job should look like a neat row of nickles laid side by side like when dominos fall. I will get a tig welder when I have my 3 car garage.
Also when I do my roll cage, I wasnt that think to look like it car with the car. I want it neat at not sticking out like a sore thumb.

He says he's looking forward to doing another one with a little more freedom of time and design. This setup had to be done in under a week and the customer picked the design.
