Hello all,

I have recently purchased my set of 94-95 Accord EX alloys (finally). I would like to hear anyone's thoughts or recommendations on what tires to purchase. The links on the third post below list a few of my initial choices. I am open to other suggestions that I have not listed as well.

-Thanks in advance

those kuhmmos look differnt than before....i dont think those grip as well as the other ones.

falkens are great...have them on my uncles porshe...grip like a MO...

michellens mxv4 is a touring tire...if u want their sport tire then go with their pilots...pretty good handling with those....

do u want a certain look? most of those are sport tires, but michellens are actually just normal looking tires...except for their pilots..

awesome... thanks; the potenzas were my first choice as well.. I listed 2 kinds of Potenzas up there; which one do you specifically recommend or is there another kind of potenza I haven't listed that you recommend?

Sorry, I'm kind of late replying to this topic. I currently have the Yokahama AVS ES100 on my 17's. I have no complaints with them. Very little road noise, and they grip pretty well. My step-father had Bridgestone Potenza S-02(or S-03, I forgot) pole postitions on his 2000 GTI VR6. He loved them. He used them on the street, and abused them at the road course. I, personally, am leaning toward Falken Azenis tires for my next tires. But, I have been doing some research on the Advan Neova AD-07's. They sound very tempting. Sorry for the long post. Just my insight on some tires I've had experience with and some I have been looking at.:)

should I go with that size or the original size of 195/60/15? I was thinking more in the realm of 205's

They look really good, Lithium. I think you should go with the 215/60/15. I love pretty wide tires on 15's.:boink: Also, are those wheels gunmetal? Did they come like that, or did the previous owner powdercoat(or just paint them) gunmetal?

thanks for the advice; I appreciate it. The Wheels are refinished to OEM specs; the bad lighting is making it look like gunmetal.

im pretty sure fizz is selling 4 center caps in above average condition.. there should be a thread in classifieds... wheels look good none the less.. i think either 205 or 215 would look swell..

205...215 wont fit i believe...i tried it...lol i looked like a dropped 4x4...

the 205 is just right and it sits in there and doesnt rub against mine..but the 215 may rub when turned....almost 80% certain.

dont get 195...eww they look like crap, even if ur car is dropped lolz!

OOO, ok. LOL. I thought they were gunmetal. I am also looking into getting the 94-95 alloys and painting them gunmetal. Ok, back on the topic, after I thought about it a little, I'm not sure 215's would look right on the rims. It might look like a ballon(I could be wrong though). 205 might be a little better.:boink: (Also, I still say look into the Falken Azenis or the Advan Neova SD-07's:tu: )

Get the Potenza RE-950's in 205/55-15. I have RE-730's (predecessor) on my car in that size, and they are great! Read the other positive reviews on the tire rack's website.

Costco also sells these tires, so you can get them mounted and have lifetime warranty/balancing/rotation for a really good price.

In fact I just noticed that they are on my car in that picture. lol

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

215/60? thats huge imo. I had 205/50's which were a little small. 205/55 would be the best size imo. 215 might technically be possible, but on a 5.5" wide rim its going to just feel so sloppy anyways. if you do get 215's then bring down the aspect ratio, at least to 55, maybe 50.

they look stupid at least get 55's but i would get 50's

lol... I think I am going to need cliff notes.

I take it the consensus is Bridgestone Potenza RE950(HR) in 205/55/15?

I've been doing research too on tires got rid of my 17's. I'm planning to get the Falken Azenis 205/50/15 yeah it's a little profile. But, if you think about it also if your doing turns and Autocrossing and stuff you wouldn't want to be rolling with lots of rubber. IMO the Falken AZENIS 205/50/15 with reinforced sides would be the best.

Amen to that!
