i'll let most pictures do the talking. This thread is so i don't clutter up John's selling thread and it stays organized for him. ALL PICTURES ARE CLICKABLE TO ENLARGE THEM.

^^^^^sign of a great business. I was able to fill up an entire bag full of the paper used to wrap everything. Might mean nothing to people. But it's a HUGE thing in my book.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3738.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3738.jpg)

I DID have SOME alignment issues. Got frustrated an left it alone. Next day i used a step drill and made the holes 1/2" and that took care of everything. Maybe that's what should be done.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3741.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3741.jpg)

This gap was BEFORE i made the holes bigger. After everything got bolted up there was no gap.

Installed. Don't mind all the random junk in the trunk.

The old hunk of metal. Anybody from Chicago need one? Maybe tow hooks? LOL.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3750.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3750.jpg)

Traction bar from above. Yes the front of the car is bent in. Thanks to my wonderful genius brother in law's idea to have it towed to my house. Oh well. Didn't really cause an issue. Just the lower radiator holder was hitting the bar so i bent it up. Won't be used in the future anyways.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3751.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3751.jpg)

Gotta rep for John!

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3755.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3755.jpg)

As you can see, the traction bar tucks up SO high, with the bumper on i doubt you'd have to worry about losing your sleeper look. That's one thing i was totally trying to avoid. The design does a wonderful job.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3756.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3756.jpg)

For the ABS guys. Yes everything bolts up perfectly. Install is self explanatory even though John provides installation instructions with EVERYTHING you purchase.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3758.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3758.jpg)

Same ABS bracket.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3759.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3759.jpg)

Double shear bracket. Just incase someone is wondering, John provides 95% new hardware. Some old stuff gets reused.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3760.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3760.jpg)

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3767.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3767.jpg)

Just a super dry run with no lube lol. Just HAD to see what it looked like.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3770.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3770.jpg)

The ABS reservoir clears with no problem.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3771.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3771.jpg)

As you can see the ABS reservoir cap clears nicely.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3772.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3772.jpg)

The ABS relay box doesn't clear. I just snipped off the lil plastic piece there and that took care of the problem nicely.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3773.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3773.jpg)

You can clearly see the ABS relay box hitting the bar.

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/th_IMG_3775.jpg (http://s265.photobucket.com/albums/ii235/shoaib81/ProjectBoost/?action=view&current=IMG_3775.jpg)

This one you can see where i just used a pair of metal snips and cut it off.

As far as build quality goes, ALL pieces are real solid feeling. I was carrying the two pt. rear lower bar out to the car to install it and i was like man, fuck installing this, i should just keep it in the car incase someone decides to get smart. Yes, it would hurt the potential victim quite a bit. Then i figured, it probably isn't worth going to jail over. Now it sits on my car ahaha.

Almost there. John provides you with a plate for the back side of the 3pt to be installed on the INSIDE of the firewall. Basically this gives your mounting point more rigidity. He provides a bolt for the plate to be held in place, in case you ever need to remove the bar. This way you don't have to remove the lower windshield cover to remove/reinstall it.

How long did it take you to install all of this, cause my plan is the 2pt rear upper/lower, 3pt front and the traction bar system. if i can do it myself i would love to, but i am not the most mechanically inclined. im assuming this all comes with detailed (the mentally handicapped can figure out) instructions?

Thanks

Lane

Yes, it all comes with instructions. Pretty straightforward to install. Traction bar took me bout an hour and a half to install, if that, by myself using only hand tools including the radius rods and double shear bracket.. That includes removing old cross frame and all that jazz. My car is already sitting on four jackstands, so that took off from the time too.

The rear upper i needed to enlarge the holes to make it fit 100%. Like i explained above, i just used a step drill and made the holes a "step" bigger to 1/2". Not a big deal and John does mention in the instructions, some holes might need to be enlarged. Honestly, for some of the holes, i'd use a deburring tool, just in order to actually enlarge them in whichever direction i need, rather than making the entire hole bigger, which may or may not in some cases make the hole closer to the edge. I have to wait on installing the front 3 pt till my engine is in place.

Hope this helps you in making your decision to purchase these quality products. They really ARE quality. You can just tell by lifting one of em.
