ok theres a lot of explaination on performance up grades such as nitrous, n/a, and turbo but can someone please fully explain ecu swaping.

i mean i kno about upgrading to performance chips but now seems everyone is upgrading ECu's and using hondata (which i went to there site really dont understand because i dont have the basic knowledge of it)

so can someone explain this as best as they can for people like me that dont kno much a bout the matter.
thanks.

I'm still learning, so here go

Hondata is an add-on programable chip that can be added to your ECU. The accord stock ECU CANNOT use the Hondata chip, so U will need another compatable ECU like the P28 from a Civic or a P78 , Those 2 R widely use since I belive there is about 10 ECU that will work on an accord. So If I was to get a hondata upgrade I will need to buy an P28 ECU from a civic, send the ecu in to hondata to have them install the chip, and go to an hondata dealer/shop to have it tune to your car, like disable speed limiter, higher rev limliter, remove fuel cut off point, disable EGR cel and function, disable vtec if you don't have Vtec engine. and Map fuel\timing\ignition table for NA build up, FI turbo....

SO far that most of what I know, Hope other people be able to explain it clearer so we both can learn new more..

Opps, Fiz beat me to it:) BUt He know his stuff, I type too slow:)
