CB7 Beach Party?

Ok - so some of us were talking about this at the meet yesterday ...

... I live about 10 miles up the coast from a beach where you can pull right up and camp out - my idea is that we all organize a meet out here and just have a good time hang out bs about our cars, whatever

I'm already planning a party out there anyway for my husband and some friends, etc before they deploy sooo ---

Just wanna know who's interested and when is a good time

P.s. the beach is on the PCH btwn Malibu and Port Hueneme/ Oxnard

Um there's a 3-wk training exercise starting the 11th, so steve (that's my husband) was hoping we could do something the 9th of April (saturday?) -- if that's too soon i can wait - you guys let me know

the 9th i'll be returning to california speedway to time my car. it sucks that there were too many cars this past weekend. i was looking forward to running too. just let me know a prospective date and i'll see what i can do. i would love to meet with yall again.

btw, when you all left the track, i took the yellow 350z for a little sideways action in the lot where we were at. then we got kicked out haha! serves them right for not catering to MY NEEDS! LOL jk

Uhh i guess that would be OK? :shrug: I'm still new to the area - so - do you know of any place down there that you can basically pull right up to the beach? I did a search - the only luck I'm having is with the state beaches... but you still have to park and walk... which look nice ... but I dunno

coould you drink at your local beaches cass? i would like a place where you could kick back and relax...have a smirnoff or 2 (maybe a corona) and bar-b-q some good food. all the state beaches youre not allowed to drink and you get fined if they find you with something. the only beack i know that i really like is up in santa barbara...goleta beach but that might be a lil too far for the san diego peeps. goleta is nice cuz you could drive right up there and they have grills and tables...the beach is right there as well. but i want something like cass is describing.

You can drink on state beaches dep. on the size of the group (no more than 100 people, i think) and paying $75 for a waiver ... that's for the group, not per person --

-- i have to go out for a job interview this afternoon, so I'll shoot down the coast the other way and see what I can find ...

and of course - I'd be fine w/ sb... but thats only an hour north for me --

good luck with the job interview cass...but i think santa barbara would be cool cuz that way we could meet up with some norcal people...we have to find out first if theyre willing to drive down cuz if not, theres no point in having it there. the only other beach i know is dana point...i havent been there in a couple of years but it was cool last time i went.

well im gonna miss the beach party guys but i will be out there the 20th of this month im bringing the tranny out for arrozoburner for his ride so if anybody wants to meet up before then just to say hi im gonna go out to the beach while im there never been to cali and ive got to take the kids and wife to the beach so they can play in the ocean lol my wifes been to cali many times but this will be my first cali is the only state i havent been to west of the mississippi river anyways hope to meet some of you while im out there thx ray.also im still trying to get a arizona meet set up.

20th is cool - i live on a beach (well 1/2 mile from one, anyway) about an hour from Ramiro just take the 10 west from his place and youre right in santa monica on the ocean... it's gorgeous



In Other News...

...All the beaches btwn port hueneme and malibu are mostly part of santa monica mtns. state park ... one beach is a $15/spot camp place - where you pull your car right up to the beach (25-50 ft from the water)... the others are regular picnic spots

As for Dana Point, like I said - i could only find info on State Beaches... and they have one with reservable picnic areas where you'd be paying $25 or so for the day and something about a $75 waiver for having alcohol

so if anyone knows of any good PUBLIC beaches down that way -- let me know

and most of the noCal kids seem to want to meet in Monterey... which is like 4 hrs up the coast... ....so maybe we could do that some other time
