squeaky brakes from speedy braking

well for the past few weeks now, i've noticed that when i'm cruising at 40+mph and then i brake, i hear squeaking noises from the front. my dad says i may need new brakes. i don't need an entire setup would i? what should i look into replacing?

pads, mine started doing it too, luckely i have pads right here, when u need pads the car sets off some kind of sensor thing that makes noise, nothing wrong with the car, its just a warning
