About 2 weeks ago I got into a nasty understeer situation and reacted poorly. It had just begun raining, so the roads were quite slick and as I rounded a right hand turn the front end let go. I nailed the brake pedal, only making the situation worse, and encountered one of our local curbs circa 20mph. The resulting damage, thus far is:

*one steel wheel & tire
*driver side lower control arm
*driver side sway bar mounting bolt - which has been "replaced" with a 3/8" grade 8 bolt, nut, and LOTS of washers for the time being. I reused the old bushings.

I suspect that the radius rod and/or sway bar is bent, as reattaching the bar during the control arm replacement struck me as impossible. It was one hell of an expensive commute, if anything. If the sway bar is bent, which I will be able to better determine once I replace the possibly bent radius rod, I plan on upgrading to a set of ST sway bars and an H & R Cup Kit suspension.

Oh, and I haven't figured out how to attach multiple images to one post yet, so this will take a couple of posts - sorry!

look at the bright side, at least you didnt have very expensive rims that couldve been damaged.

Right, I wasn't hurt at all, nor my *cough* girlfriend... my face turned bright red, does that count?

I've got a set of '92 Prelude Si wheels that will go on in a month or so when I get nice shoes for them... too bad I wasn't able to get a set of Volk's out of it all ;)

Oops! That sucks. What can ya do though. Just gotta be more careful. That rim looks like it is still in not to bad of shape. You could probably reuse it. As long as it still holds air that is. One of my steelies has a bigger dent than that and it is still going strong. But if you've got lude wheels then throw those on.
