Shit is hot man.. I love the rear bumper. I might cut mine off and remold that one on because I love the style of it but I need to do something about a plate holder since I shaved my lid. Anyways, check out my friend Brad's hood that he made.

wow, that hood is hott, i did the scoops cuz i never seen it on a 4th gen, but VA has strict rules about how high the scoops can be and so on, like, we cant use the BW2 hoods cuz the scoops are too high, shit like that, so they're small, but i like em, eventually i'll cut em and make them functional but thats lower on my list of things to do

shabbalicious
12-01-2003, 10:35 AM
also, the 4th gen has a side button on the shifter for the autos since theyre all auto, did you have to do any mods for that knob to work, or did if just fit right, or do you have it disabled?

well the front kit is a Street Fyghter kit, rear and sides are Neo Extreme.
The hood is stock with scoops my mechanic had laying around custom molded on there. pretty soon i'll cut the holes out and make it functional.

no mods, what that button on the side is (and you would see this is you ever took it apart) is just connected to a peice with a tapered slant in it, with a spring behind it. so when you push that button it rolls that tapered peice over this little wheel in side your shifter. As the tapered end get shorter it pushes that wheel down more until you can shift. If you pull off the piece you have now you will see what i mean. Then i bought that shifter and all it does is push directly down on that button, instead of coming from the side. confusing? maybe i'll take pictures later

hey thanx man, yeah im not done yet, im always in a state of changing something on my car. Next i do wanna mold the scoops into the hood, shave her, take off the door handles and gas tank, thinking about taking the wing back off too, i used to ride with it off. im very indecisive. I've been through like 3 paint jobs, this one, then i got flames painted going all down the fenders and doors and painted eyelids on a diff. set of headlights, then i grew out of the flames and eyelids so i got it repainted, but we taped off the flames where they came out of the clear corners and painted over them without sanding those out, so if you look close on my car i have cool ghost flames....

akkordlayinkit

I think it will look good when you shave it, are you sides molded in? if not are you gonna? If you shave the trunk you'll probably have to swap to a 4-door trunk so the inner tails wont slant in...I think you should take the wing off, I think 4th gens rear looks really clean without one, but then again thats just my opinion. --Jay

next weekend me an my mechanic are doing the door handles hopefully, if this cold weather ever goes away for a decent amount of time. I dont think im gonna mold this kit in because i want to go urethane (damn fiberglass is a BITCH) i also dont know about shaving the trunk. still pondering that one.
i agree, the 4th gens do look clean W/O the wing in the back, i have old pics of my car and the bitch looks raw without it on, but in the great Commonwealth of Virginia, my car around here already has a label with the local 5-0, so every safety item i have on that helps i like to leave on. I know its prolly me but i have been pulled over for groundclearance (even though the cop measured wrong, supposed to be like 14 in. or something from the support, he measured from the bottom of the kit. The judge thought i had 5 in. from my bumber support to the ground, lol.) neons (even though they werent on, again more bull) improper exhaust (even though it isnt, my cat is hooked up) and other crap. i even put seatbelt pads on my seatbelts so when a cop drives next to me he knows i have my SB on. crazy huh, im so paranoid

'93accordse
12-30-2003, 05:49 AM
front kit - Street Fighter fiberglass (BLECHHHH), cost about 300 shipped from the internet

rear kit and sides - Neo Extreme (though redline auto sells them labeled as Extreme) i think it was 400 shipped also off the internet

google Redline Auto, they got pretty good prices on stuff, you can buy the entire Extreme kit for like 500, although personally i dont like the front

finally got my sides molded. heres a pic, sorry for the quality

i dyed the interior. replaced the seat too. i had the whole car stripped and had the shell painted. i miss her. she was my baby,
she fell victim to a blown ball joint on the interstate. after that she sat till i got some money. bought the parts, fixed her, but after that she scared the hell out of me, i just couldnt shake the feeling of losing control. so i never drove her hard again. plus the motor had well over 200,000 on it. i didnt have the money or the time to fix her properly, or do the swap like i wanted. at the time a buddy of mine whos house we were working on it at, his wife sat in it one day to move it and fell in love with it. a couple phone calls later, they gave me what i wanted for it so she was sold. ugh, they replaced the rims with some 17" gunmetal pep boys specials, she put seat covers on the front seats (over my brand new leather), flowery steering wheel cover, eventually he ran it into a tree killing the kit so it had a stock front bumper on in stock cb7 green, replaced the clear's with shitty looking amber corners and one day got pissed at his wife and kicked the fender, breaking the z3 inserts. their kid beat on the car with a set of keys all over the trunk. the list goes on and on. blown amp, replaced deck with a cheaper one cuz "she was used to it" , didnt like the shift knob, didnt like the kick panels, but wouldnt give them to me, didnt like the wood overlay, I had a trunk project i was doing with mirrors in the lid, im sure thats torn up, raised the car about an inch. etc......

told you i didnt want to talk about it. :(

and the molded side skirts a inconvienince to me,, i don't understand why people think they can make fiberglass stick to metal and hold up if you plan on keeping your car,, o well

but other than that,, it's a pretty alright car....

you're kidding right?

i havent owned that car in over 2 years. Did you even read thru the rest of the thread?

And no, you wouldnt see this stuff on $30k cars. because we dont drive $30k cars. we drive at BEST $5k cars. The beautiful thing about this board is that everyone here has different opinions and tastes. You cant come into my thread and comment on a car from 2 years ago. What you would have done now and what i did back then are two different things. I've been in the cb7 game for 6 years. Believe it or not, that car started out with a full Sigma lip kit, before anyone on here thought they were cool. I ditched it for the body kit and the hood scoops because in 2002, it was in. Times change. I had to come to realize that i couldnt afford to keep changing my car to suit what everyone else thought was cool, i had to build my car for me.

As far as the molding, i've been doing bodywork since i was 15. The kit on my car now I bought from ebay, the shittiest, worst fitting, CHEAPEST kit i could find. And i cut it and remolded it and strengthened it and i've driven every day into the worst parking lots on the east coast 5" from the ground and have yet to crack a single mold. I know how to drive my car and i know how to do my bodywork properly.

s there a swap in the equation???

or are you gonna keep the Stocker in it?

Yes, hopefully this October Patrick (Acclude91 as some of you may remember) will be coming down here to do it. I'm doing a ton of bodywork for him and getting his 93 coupe chassis for a project, and he's doing my swap. Stay Tuned, i know this thing is in dire need of an update, but it's coming together slowly. The mortgage kind of owns my pockets right now.

no, i'm sorry, my post wasnt meant in a defensive way, just voicing my thoughts. You did say that you didnt understand how people thought they could mold fiberglass to metal and expect it to last, so thats where my worksmanship comment came from. I was going to finish my h22 swap and then get another accord for a turbo F22, however I am going to keep one car and get my kit and drop it down a little.
