well so far i had alot of people mess with my car. someone tried to break into my car a long time ago through my key hole and messed it up badly..but didnt realize that i didnt even lock my car! stFU NOob hahah.

well the other night smoeone tried again to mess with my door lock and now it looks ugly....the lock never worked since the last dude..

--question--

in 95+ integras i know that u can put a rear door handle on the front so that it will have no key hole...can we do this to the 91 accord? i really want to get rid of that keyhole OR at least put something solid there in place of the key hole like a piece of metal that blends in or something

Yeah, ive seen many people do it, and im pretty sure it is just bolt right on. I was going to do it, but didnt remember before i painted it.

i seen some one do it to a cb7 same color as yours on accordtuner.com... if i remember right, you have to do some slight modification to the rod that connects to the door handle to open the rod...."slight"

its definately been done tons of time, im waiting for a set to be shipped to me, im gonna be doign the same... from what i understand, the passenger one bolts in perfectly and the driver side one needs a little plastic piece added, and all i get is "ull see what i mean" .... thye say u need to go to the dealer for it, and its reeally cheap. but yes, feel free to do it, it works.

my front passenger door handle looks like someone tried to pry it out from the bottom, meaning someone tried to break into it, but i noticed this a long time ago the rubber surrounding is pushed in at the bottom, fuckin bitches ill kill em

just to show that it is a 2 door accord.

for me, it's better than shaving the doors (personal preference for my car). if you ever decide you want to take the cb7 to the track, you'll have to have door handles. just something to keep in consideration.

of course you'll need a keyless entry system/alarm as you will have no keyhole.

now the question if i can get mine painted to match my car...13 years does wonders to paint, but mine is still new and clean =)

if you don't want to go through the potential hassle of getting your handles painted, you can get brand new handles from the dealer (which is what i did). they (the folks at the dealership) ask for your paint code (located in the door jamb) to get the properly colored ones.

i also think this would be good for the folks with the dx model in order to get rid of those black handles (if so desired of course).

ok well i went around today and found some prices...no one had my color for a used one =(. there is this area with like 25 honda stores that are salvage lots....i found one car my color but it was more green so that didnt work.

the going prices were 15, 20, and 25 dollars. to paint i got it for 50 bucks.... so im still debating..

i wonder if honda has new and colored ones...uncle_el...how much did it costs ya from honda? painted too?

i went to pick and pull they had 1 accord HAHAA and 300 3rd gen accord haha.

I shaved my rear handles and put one of them on the pass side, not driver(in case i ever need the keyhole...)it makes it look alot cleaner. I remember that I had to cut part of the rod connector off to get it to fit, but anyone can do it, its a pretty easy mod. Also i think my car is the same color as yours, so if your interested let me know, I have one with and one without the keyhole--Jay

the price you got was a good one. i paid $69.98 per handle, so 138 and change total. they come/came color matched (read, already the color of your car, since they order the handles per your car's color code), no painting needed.

but your deal would be $75 total- a significant difference in price. go with that, or get the handle from accordlayinkit.

yes i have a 4 door and a buddy that shaved his handles, so i just bought his rears off him for 20 bucks and need to install yet.. pretty easy though

how the hell did u get it color matched brand new? my 15 bucks was a used one and not the right color, and then i have to pay 50 bucks to get it painted...

honda said they used to sell it colord, now its primer...gerr!

Heres my paint code: YR-503M-3, if its the same as yours, I'll let you have it for $5 + s/h, plus I will guarantee you that it will fit, b/c it was on my car, but then I put the front one w/ the keyhole back in the driver side, its already got the extra rod hole cut off.--Jay

Also I should add that the handles on the rear have a slight bow to them, (about 1/16") I dont know why, but they do, so if you want them aligned perfect you might have to add some filler above the front handle hole to make it fit perfect.--Jay

well i found my color! yes! BG26m!!

i just took a turn for the blue and went back to the shops...and to find they had it, but it wasnt on file...it has some scratches and its a little dull in color but that can be worked out cuase i detail cars....

they want 20 bucks and really thats alot cheaper than anyone else!!

im going to go get it tomorrow and probably work on the conversion soon....

hey just as an update, to let u know... i installed a rear door handle into my front passenger side, and it installed with no problems, besides grinding down the bolt holes. no problem with the bar or anything. so i dont know what everyone is talking about the passenger side not installing easily.

I was thinking about doing that. I like how it looks. Alot of guys are doing that now instead of goin' shaved. From what I can gather from my 93 shop manual from Honda it seems like it's just a direct pop out slip in style. I think there's some sort of tape you need though to fasten it.

i went back to the place and they complained that i had tools..haha i had a shit load, i didnt know they pull it out.

they said though if the door is good then they wont sell it to me, and im like BS>..but thats their policy...so i went to go find it and before they came out i kicked the shit of the door..cause it was reusable...bashed the window, keyed it and punched it...it was a good 20 seconds ahhahahah!!!

the dude came out and was like, man that door isnt reusable..u can take the handle...

hahahah so im like how much, and prior they said 20 bucks the other week...they said 15 bucks so i had no argument...same color and everything

i polished it, claybared, and waxed it and it is matching my car 91% matched!! haha

im soo happy
