Engine swap?

I've got a 92 honda accord, got it from a buddy that cracked the block and am waiting to tow it home. I've only seen the body(4dr.)

Questions:
#1. USDM H23A1 (non vtec) or USDM F22B1 (vtec) which would be easier and better. Looking for a good base motor to build up.:angry:

#2. Does anyone know where I can find out how to wire the harness's / vtec

You are looking at less overall work and more power to install an H23. The F22B1 Is a nice engine, but has less power and you have to get a different ECU, ad wires to the harness, etc, The H23 just drops in. and han use the same intake and exhaust stuff. The F22B1 requires a different header and intake manifold.
