1/8 plus 1/8 = 1/4 So therefore: 8.5x2 = 17.0 in the 1/4 which inturns equals: not impressed...

hey guys...just so u know my car on the f22b a while back ran a 10.2
and ur quarter is no 1/8x2....at the end of the 1/8th at that time my trap speed was 70 mph
hmmm newbs need to go to the track
8.5=at least 200 whp.....imo
my friends (92ish) sentra with gti-r turbo motor ran an 8 flat before tune (220+ whp at that time, now over 300whp)
just fyi stock sentra se-r spec v's do the 1/8th around 9.5ish i believe
pretty fast mustangs do it in around 8.8 or so....
hmm
of course i haven't seen this video yet, but a 8.5 in the 1/8th is pretty good.

lmfao, hahahahahahaahhhhh   . Go hit the track player and tell us your 1/8 of a mile time and we will do the calculations h23power way, then you really wont be impressed.

that guy lives in the same town I do... kinda odd that it got posted on here haha

its a 92 4 door maroon 17 inch motegi's. . . M/T slicks on the front ;)

engine is JDM H22A M2B4 tranny

mods to my knowledge:
DC Sports Header
Magnaflow cat-back (has cut out in it)
some kinda highflow cat
SKunk2 intake manifold
AEM V2 Cold air intake
Nitrous Xpress 75 shot

The car ACTUALLY has run in the 8.3 range (it had some Crower cams in it that BROKE, now its running stock cams again waiting on Skunk2 Stage 2 cams ;)) fastest time with stock cams was in the 8.4's

mid-low 8's in an 1/8 translates into 13's in a quarter so the car isnt slow for all you newb haters.

and to the guy that sad 1/8 time x2 = 1/4... someone needs to slap your momma :thumbsdwn

i call an h22a, he's not in 3rd gear long enough to be trapping 83mph and 2nd gear seems to hold out forever. Good times tho. An 8.2 @83mph equates to about...ummm...just as fast as 2point6 actually

that makes absolute no sense im not flaming in fact i value everyones opinion if the fact that it is double made it 17.0 that would completely defeat the purpose of the style of racing being from a stop as you gain speed you would go through the second eigth a lot quicker just my 2 cents

Come on guys....stop picking on people...last time i checked this isnt a "hater" forum!! Anyways...just like J-spec said...everyones opinions and thoughts should be valued....we are all CB_7 tuners...he made a simple mistake haha er mis calculation on his post! Id like to say that i liked the video...seeing any CB_7 out on any track running his car is good shit!! REPRESENT! hahaha i thought it was a H22a...watch the tach..redlines super late, pretty sure my JDM F22a cant hit that RPM without serious internal work  :D !! Kudos!!...on posting the vid man....always nice to see a cb7 accord!!

shawn.hayden you right there is real smart ones here and some cool ones that know a lil about drag strips.the car's best was on that video that was a 8.26 at 83 mph with stock cams.last years best was 8.44 with the crower stage two cams i had some tranny probloms thats why it's slower.i just had the stage 2's reinstalled this week i should get back my 15 hp's that i lost with the stock cams and maybe get in some high 7's.i not inplying that 15hp is going to get me in the 7's but it should help.when i get it in the 7's i'll post that video and when i get to a 1/4 mile track i will show you guys a 12 secound accord called benie siegal.

p.s 8.26 should be a high 12 or really low 13 my bets on the high 12

p.s.s fu@k ya'll that said a 8.26 is slow those ppl have never been to a track before and know all about nothing :thumbsdwn

A general rule of thumb depending on top end power is mulitiply the 1/8th mile time by 1.56 to get ur 1/4 mile time. For boosted cars mulitplying by 1.54 is the norm is seems.
We have a performance company here in jax that tubbed out a civic hb, added slicks, lexan windows, GSR motor with the normal i/h/e/cam/cam gear/pulleys/fpr/ecu/etc. and he was pulling the same times with about the same 60ft. for comparitive purposes...and that car was light enough to push with just my pinky finger.

No problem its just good to have another nice setup on the board. And screw Shawn :thumbsdwn ,he didn't even bother to meet me at the TN meet...i wanted to hump his budda :( ...maybe next time :bouncy:

Jamie u may want to contact a guy on here named BustedLX about getting a chipped ecu that supports nitrous. He has somewhat the same setup i believe so he should know exactly what ur motor can and can't handle. I'd estimate an overall better powerband and probably close to if not more than 10whp off of his magic.

04-27-2005, 05:11 PM
the thing about 1/8 mile is it shows the fastest part or usually the fastest part if you simply double that it IS NOT your 1/4 time as your car expecially cb7s usually accelerate slower the faster you are going so. :-/

MRX
04-27-2005, 05:15 PM
thats why we multiply by 1.53-1.56 its pretty accurate assuming u don't misshift or use a shot of nitrous that wasn't being used b4.

VERY NICE...thats mid 12's right there.

Those ppl in that thread really need to understand that u don't add 8.08 + 8.08 together because you didn't stop in the middle of the track and start all over from 0mph. If u pass the 1/8th at 86mph then your obviously starting FROM 86mph not 0mph. They seriously need to take algebra.

but seriously... this car is freakishly quick considering what all has been done to it...

put down 194 all motor and 250 something on the spray... DEFINATLY some nice numbers... now lets up that shot a little and get it into the 7's ;)

250ish huh...how much torque? I should be able to trap the same speeds seeing as i walked a car trapping 82mph in the 1/8th

wow....all of the accelerating...the part that takes all of the time....like your 60 foot times and all...they happen in the first part of the 1/4 mile...while this CAN be proven with basic laws of physics, they dont hold true in real life because of the differing rate of acceleration...so good idea in theory, bad in practice..lol
