ok guys well i guess we will do the meet at the firebird raceway on the 25th of june they are having a drift,drag and show event that day and should be lots of fun so figured we could all meet there b.s. do some racing and watching and just hang out and get together with everybody from arizona and maybe some surrounding states ok guys let me know who all is coming

I checked the SCO site and theres no times listed yet, the Firebird website says gates open at 7:00 pm and racing at 8:00. But looking at the flyer from SCO that time doesnt seem accurate because it looks like they have alot planned. Im assuming it was an all day event. Ill call them tommorrow and get a definate time. Ray Ill check around that area and see who has a decent parking lot since we may be doing lunch instead if it really starts at 7pm. Maybe we can get some good group vid and pictures. Also I noticed in mid July Speedworld is having there import Vs. domestic race if anybody is ready to take on some american muscle. I went last year and it was pretty fun.

Called SCO they were closed, but there flyer says ALL DAY drag racing, drifting show, and an gaming zone, plus alot of other shit. so i spoke to SCO today and they told me that the gates open at 5 pm, tech is at 6 pm, and racing starts at 7pm. the drifting is just for watching, the are having pro's do the drifting. it is scheduled to end around midnight-1am. hope to see everyone there.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Also, since I've totally put down SCO I should tell everyone that out of like a total of 4 shops I've been to, there's was the cleanest and not the smallest. I think the smallest goes to that little chop shop place on Kyrene just south of Baseline... I've yet to see a shop that actually carries stuff for my car tho thats not universal fitments and they don't have to order from someone else :D

I think its going to be fun just to cruise up there with a whole line of CB7's. Does everyone still want to meet around the metro center area. I know TGIFridays has a decent sized parking lot. If gates open at 5:00 maybe we can do lunch at like 1:00 take some pics, chat and cruise up to Firebird. Id like to get there a little early before gates open. Last time I waited in line at tech for over an hour. Plus if you get there early you can get a few passes in before the line gets ridiculous to race.

HEY, NEW INFO!!! my neighbor allen is doing the drift demo, he is the drift "teacher" over at bondurant which is a high performance driving school on firebirds property.. well they are doing a drift demo at 8:30 and 10:00 with the new sponcered pontiac drift spec GTO`s and the shifter carts... and i talked to him and he said maybe after the 2 demos he said we could go slide the carts around on the track... but he is still checking but since i worked there with him for like 2 years he is trying to get us all hooked up...

Less than a week left, where does everyone want to meet, Im not sure where everyone lives so Im not sure if meeting at Metro area is cool or you guys would like something else. Id like everyone to show up. Do you East Valley guys want to drive over. I know its a little out of your way. Theres a TGIFridays off the access road on the east side of I-17 and Peoria. Its right up next to an office complex so they have a good sized parking lot. That might work. If gates open @ 5 how does everyone feel about getting there around 4:00 Id rather wait an hour to get thru tech than wait an hour at five than another hour to get up to race. If we can get a head count of whos all going for sure I can make a reservation somewhere.

It's on Chandler Blvd just west of I-10 in Phoenix. Its technically the Ahwatukee/Chandler area, but Phoenix borders tend to "bleed" into other cities a little more than they probably should. Man!!!!! I got her all washed up and looking pretty, but I couldn't make it over to Hooters in time. I went out to Firebird at about 4:45 and saw two other 92-93 accords there, neither from this board. One had an H22 with an auto tranny w/ LSD... it was gonna be his first time racing it he said. The other was bright orange and had the BW body kit.

Wish I could have stayed and met yall, but I had to leave to see friends in Flagstaff. I think I may have seen 3 or 4 of you on my way out, there were several CB7s driving in a line into the parking lot when I left. If anyone saw an Electron Blue accord with Orange windshield wipers and everything rice, it was me! :D

we had a good time............ i was the one with the messed up idle.. also, did u run?? just wondering cause i got horrible times and it didn`t feel right... so just wondering... i ran a 17.320 then a 17.201 then a 17.320 again i think.. but all my reaction times were low like .115 or .096 so its all good.. i was doing the 1/8th mile in 11.1 to 11.0`s and i was trapping at 80mph flat so maybe after a couple upgrades ill be down to like a low 16 high 15... hopping :tu:

It was HOT as hell! We dynoed my car at 'Exact Dyno" in the morning as I wanted to dial in A/F ratios with the new manifold. Figures on the dynpack were 241.8 hp and 188.8 tq. The operator said this dyno usually reads 10 hp less than the dyno jet I had previously tuned on. Considering the heat difference and the fact that I dynoed a year ago proved to be some very consistant #'s for my engine. Then it was lunch time! We had a good time in the Hooter's parking lot... then we ALL got lost on some directionless journey that was a nice tour of random neighborhoods then ended up at "Options"... did I mention it was hot? The people were really cool... don't mind my bitching. The racing was cool, despite the surface of the sun heat and my front bumper partially falling off and draging down the track. I duct taped it back up and ran a 12.9. I hope everyone else had a good time. Nice meeting you all!

yea it was hot as hell!!! i wish i could have made it to hooters but my distributor failed on me and gave me problems the rest of the night. i was planning on running my car but shit happens. it was good meeting everyone even though i didnt know the real names to the screen names but oh well. it was good to see scott run a 12.9 even though the bumper was barely there. all in all i think it was a good turn out.

It was really a lot of fun! The night of racing was really a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Seeing 2.6 run is even better in person! It was crazy to think that the car was cruising around with us earlier in the day and was perfectly docile, and then became this raving beast of a machine that tore up the strip later that night.

The same can't be said for my car, which I am pretty sure was the only slush box running at all. I still managed to peel off a few runs that beat or were within spitting distance of a couple of M/T Accords that were near the same level of tuning, and I even ran the A/C in the staging lanes and had 3/4 of a tank of gas! Not too bad all in all though. Heat soak was an issue, which the A/C didn't help at all, because just getting the engine bay temps down by opening the hood, dropped my ET by about 1/2 a second. There could have been a few extra tenths in the gas tank and tires I think too.

Oh well, I pretty much wanted to establish a base line # so that as I start the next round of mods, I have a way to realistically measure an increase.

Thanks for the discount tickets too! Was that Krakakru that gave us those?

We will definitely have to do it again sometime! Maybe October at the next SCO event or something.

i would like to thank everyone for making this a great meet as i really didnt expect that many people to show up thx guys for making the difference a big thx to all the guys from collective racing and as was said before seeing 2point6 run was awesome thx for reppin the 4th gens man and my car will definitely be going to his shop for some tuning and upgrading every car from that shop ran fast anyways thx nathan for the purchase on the gauge cluster and the discount tickets and hopefully next time dominic can cruise with us we will definitely do this again hopefully when its a lil cooler lol again thx to all of you for a great event thx ray.p.s. i will post pics soon for all to see thx.

It was nice to meet everyone, I had a great time despite my crappy times, Im hoping it was heat related because I still seemed to be a little quicker than most. That is definatly something we should do more often. There is a very nice collection of CB7's representing Arizona.

Yup....a directionless journey huh....I wonder who was responsable for that...hehe....but yeah, I have to agree with everyone, Phoenix is one hot mother effer...My a/c didn't even help much! But yeah, even though we all got lost in the suburbs, I thought it was sooo awesome seeing all the different CB7's in my mirror, up until the point where everyone got scattered all over Phoenix, and they all wanted to kill me! LOL :bouncy: I had a great time meeting everyone who participated, and next time I will bring pants so I can run my car, hopefully we can arrange another meet here in October at the next SCO.... and hopefully....4drcord WILL PARTICIPATE next time (we missed you dude), but it was good meeting you all, I had an awesome time, and hopefully I will see you all the next time we meet!

No one even mentioned the "camel toe" competition between Robert "hush22", Mike Wade, and my girlfriend Chrissy.... not to say anything bad about Robert but he barley edged out Chrissy and her super tight shorts.

I am sure this makes my GF sound bad but she was so freaking hot that we had to go buy her shome shorts at a ross down the street and the only ones she found were TINY! LOL... hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful Phoenix scenery...LOL.

hey chris there doin great man ive got new pics up in my members rides and i think ive cleaned them about 100 times already lol they are gettin much love man yeah we really need to set up another meet the last one was a blast but it might not be as hot this time hey chris if i can could i get yours or scotts number for collective im wondering about my h22 tensioner should i get the auto tensioner or leave my manual one in there im confused about whats best to do anyways lets get another meet setup guys ill post a new thread for october.
