lookin good. i like how the grill looks on ur car. u make that or order it?
Wallace
12-07-2003, 11:17 PM
a little bit of both...
i ordered it, but it didnt fit AT ALL.
i had to trim and bend it, and jimmy-rig it a little.
i even had to make up my own way of mounting it.
the website said it fit 90-93 accords.....what a lie.
but i think it turned out nice, and it's unique, so no harm done.

Nice! Mesh-style wheels look better with lo-pro tires though, IMHO, and I would color-match the grill and bumper, and dump the car, but looking real nice and clean so far!
hey man i think me and you got the same muffler ... you got any idea what it is? Cause i got no idea.

Nice start, I remember when mine started out kinda like that (...), I agree with red_gto in painting the bumpers, moldings, mirrors, etc. Also I've been thinkin about getting that grille, except the one with out the outline border on it, where did you get yours and how much? Good luck.--Jay

hey man i think me and you got the same muffler ... you got any idea what it is? Cause i got no idea.
that's a full DC Sports exhaust..
i know, i hate my black bumpers and moldings.....but i dont have the $$$ right now.
if and when i do paint them, i want to paint the whole car as well, and i also want to get my front lip before i paint the car.
but im still a student....
i got the grill off this website:
http://www.stylincompacts.com/
here's the actual grill (but be warned of the horrible fitment):
http://www.stylincompacts.com/part.cfm?PartID=38351&PartFamilyID=497&SubCategoryID=148&CategoryID=25
it's mostly rice stuff, and it's pretty expensive, but they have some rare things.
they even have eyelids for 4th gens, which i've never seen anywhere else:

good stuff. How is that DC exhaust workin out for ya? I haven't heard anything before on it but is it loud or quiet, good power or bad?
Wallace
01-24-2004, 09:13 PM
i love the DC exhaust.
not too loud, but louder than the Apex'i WS.
no raspiness or buzzing AT ALL.
clean tone all the way through the RPMs.
really good low-mid rpm power gains, slight gains in high rpm.
sounds stock at idle, and below 2000 rpm.
has a mean sound when your givin' it at 3000-4500 rpm.
and it looks good too. and it's legal.

I've been told that the S2000 shift knob actually adds a 6th gear. Is this true?

its hard to tell if that was a joke or not.
im guessing what u heard was that the picture on the top of the s2000 shift knob shows a 6th gear, that exists in the s2k (i think it does), but not the accord.

Any updates on the remote damping? I know it was supposed to be done earlier this year, and I'm interested.
Wallace

the remote damping adjustability system was completed and it did work (we were even able to integrate PID motor control), but it was never put into my car. we made a test platform for it, and we ended up getting a good mark too.

well...it's H22 time!
i got it earlier than expected, but i just had to buy it cause the price was so good.
1998 Prelude SH H22A4 (67000 kms), with 1995 Prelude H23 tranny (115 000kms). It has already been converted to OBD1. It also comes with an accord harness that already has vtec, knock, IAB, etc wires added. Also, a brand new clutch. It didnt come with an ECU.
i paid $1600 CND.
As part of a package deal, he also sold me a brand new DC Sports Stainless H22 header for $350 CND.
I've already bought a chipped P28. Custom chipped by www.racingchips.com to my specs.
Also, bought an AEM CAI.

Me and a friend are gonne do the swap hopefully within a month or two. Hopefully we wont run into any problems. Because it's from an SH, there are very slight differences (like fabricating a plate so the intermediate shafts can be mounted to the block properly).
If anyone knows of any other problems with putting an SH motor into an Accord, please let me know.

I absolutely LOVE your front strut bar, and I want one if I go DOHC. How's it compare in your opinion to the Neuspeed piece? Also would you ever make another one? I would probably be interested when the time came.

Thanks.
It's hard to say how it compares to the Neuspeed bar, because I drove with no strut bar for about 6 months, plus the H22 is heavier.
I would say it's AT LEAST as good as the Neuspeed bar, probly better.
You should see the rear strut bar im making....almost done.
