Will the Civic type-R boot fit into an Accord slot? I took off the console and removed the factory boot and it looks like it can be done. Any info?

genuine honda of japan, believe its the same boot that u found... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33703&item=2447649984

they say that it can be changed to fit the 90-97 accord if u use the stock metal mounting bracket. so either one u get will probably fit.

Yeah, this spring I'm getin' the CTR boot and the Skunk-2 Type-R looking knob for shows and the factory GSR knob for daily driving. I can't wait.

Why the type-R only for show? just curious.

The boot is always gonna be there...

as for the knob, the Skunk-2 is metal. Cold weather = cold metal = cold palm. Warm weather = warm metal = warm palm. I just firgured the leather one is better for daily driving. Plus I don't want a 50 dollar know to get ruined. Dunno...that's the reasoning. :D

Now what boot sohuld I get...Civic or Integra? I thought they were both the same...but I was on JDMPro and they look different. The tabs on the corners are different...the Civic's are smaller. The Civic would probably be better then...

I used the ITR boot for my boot. I used the ITR mounting bracket as well (it came with the boot, i got the boot at optauto.com) the bracket had two holes that matched the console, which was more than enough to keep it in place. after i put it in, i had to shave some of the metal off so it wouldn't rub against the shifter. i also tried the accord bracket but there was too much rubbing.

my itr boot matched my spoon sports knob looks pretty good if i do say so myself
