Hey everyone,
I have a medium sized dent in my hood. Well, I guess its not a dent, more of a recess. I've tried to softly knock it out with a hammer, but unfortunately the recess is right above the main crossbar in the hood. I can't get to it. Any ideas how to get it out? Thanks!

you could get a good aftermarket carbon fiber hood if you wanted to.:tu: ... but an OEM honda hood?... 100 bux?.. that sounds way too cheap...

My Accord looks like Xplode's; just imagine a small indentation on the hood. It seems like the dent could be taken out with a plunger or other suction device, but I don't even know how to go about that. :) It doesn't look serious enough to buy a new hood, but do you think I should take a hammer and try to bang it out?

well.. the hammer method might not work.. id take it to a body shop and see if they can suck that shit out with that hydraulic plunger thing, shouldnt cost that much.. wonder if the paint will get messed up from that tho.... yeah that was my accord.. my cb7 sadly was totaled a month ago.. so i no longer have it.

Dont use a hammer on it...you'll just end up stretching the metal the wrong way, and probably chipping the paint. If you were able to get to the dent, then you could use a pinhead hammer with a dolly on the other side and gently tap the underside of the hood to work the metal back into place, but with the support bracing you probably wont be able to...but take it to a body shop and see what they say, they might be able to pull it out depending on the size of the dent. OEM honda hood for $100, HA! I'd really like to see that receipt...I'll take 5 please.

You could always look into one of those dent doctor things they advertise on tv. They only run for about $20.
