CB7 Nor Cal Meet #3 : July 23, 2005 [Archive]

This meet will be taking place at Half Moon Bay on July 23rd which is a saturday. We will first be meeting up at Laurelwood Shopping Center and from their we will cruise down to Half Moon bay together as a pack, where we will have a spot set-up to grill some carna asada/BBQ. We will then head out to some spots to do some photoshoots and then go on a cruise around the area.

NOTE: Each Person Should Bring Something to Contribute for the food.
Here is the list of who is bringing what:

1. chiaboi_accord - charcoal, spoons, water, and little meat Marinated (asian style)
2. Importkitz - ice, ice chest (need car wash before meet)
3. Wed3k - Meat
4. Ron Cb7 - Napkins,forks,cups,drinks
5. Green Cb7 - Plates

Please Include anything else and i will add ur name to the list,with whatever u decide to bring to the meet. Also their is a Rite Aid at Laurelwood Shopping center in case anybody has to buy anything at the last minute. Thank You.

who cares if you cant get is passed. if you get pulled over, just say youre coming down to get it tuned up at a friends shop so they can smog it. just make sure you have a temp tag.

Actually www.sanjosegrandprix.com (http://www.sanjosegrandprix.com ) is july 29, 30, 31. Im going to work the info booth or in the grandstands, so I should be able to make it to half moon bay, if I dont get sent out of town, I have 3 work trips between 7/15 and 7/28 that im setting up.

Is someone gonna marinate the meat ahead of time? I'd buy the meat and marinate it but I have a nice, peaceful, and long drive. I dont want it to spill over during one of my turns. :driving: :D

of course, theres one right off 101 at the hillsdale exit and there is one off the delaware street exit on 92 near the post office.

I won't know whether or not I'll be able to make until next week. I know my new springs should arrive on Tuesday, but I don' tknow when the struts will get here. If they don't get here this week, I'll be swapping them out on the 23rd. :(

Hopefully, I'll have everything so I can swap them out this weekend, then I'll be able to make it! Might even give the smog ref another go before the 23rd...

does your car not drive now? if they dont come in time, why dont you just roll on your current setup and change it after the meet... that way you can at least go.

Nah, it runs beautifully, but the struts are shot (very bouncy... and jumpy when I hit bumps). But the struts have shipped and are supposed to be here on Friday! :bouncy: I'm waiting on the UPS guy today for the springs, so I may start tearing the car apart. That way when the struts get here, all I have to do is put it all together and go get it aligned.

well, i hit it up today and boy was it fun when there were no cars. speed limit was 45 in some areas and others had 30mph turns which i took them at 45 with ease.
it felt like i was touge racing because of the uphills and downhills and twistys.

bad news is...the beach that we are planning to goto has a 6 dollar per car parking fee. if you dont want to pay it, you can park like a block away on the street but i dont know how safe your car would be. all the other beaches pretty much sucked and the miramar beach doesnt have grills.
one of them, i had to go like 5mph because it was a dirt road with MANY potholes. the street was fairly smooth and no sand or dirt.

i am still amazed at how fun it was.

po po-only saw like 2-3.

as for the "cruise", im not really sure where onenwould go for a "cruise" since the way there and back is pretty damn long already...

we'll be meeting near the mcdonalds.

green, remember where we meet up last time? it will be closer to the street though so people can see us when they get off the highway.

im bringing hotdogs, marinated short rib and marinated chicken drums. bought like 20 bucks worth of meat...:D

the reaosn why it is going to be early is because any later there is going to be traffic and we wouldnt be enjoying the twisties (which are damn fun)
but we will probably be there till 2-3pm? idk, the more stuff we have to do...the better.
