hell yeah my brotha! im not a big giants fan but i gotta give em props on what they are doing this year, tearing up the nl west. i am a mariners fan myself, and a true one, not a bandwagon one who started likin em after they won 116 games in 2001.

this is exactly what they did last year...they were doing great up until the all star break and then started to suck it up. kazuhiro sasaki is coming back but shigetosi hasagawa is doing a great job so i dont know if kaz will get his spot back. freddy garcia, our former ace, has one more chance before hes put into the bullpen. if he is, then new guy rafael soriano will become our new starter, which i think would be pretty tight. winn and olerud, mostly defensive players have been stepping up offensively lately. winn has like 3 times as many home runs after the all star break than he did before and olerud just put 2 out for a 7 rbi game, pretty good for a guy with only like 7-8 homers this year. they are a great regular season team, but as everybody knows, regular season dont mean SHIT.

haven't been into baseball much basically since the strike a few years back. but i've always been a dodgers fan, though they haven't played to well recently. this year the pitchers are finally getting it done, but the bats are horrible.

big bonds fan though (since he was a pirate)... so when the dodgers don't make the playoffs, i'll root for the giants. as long as someone represents the nl besides the damn braves (kinda ironic since i currently live in atlanta).

i'm just playing about the a's...they are a great team and i may not like them because they are the top competitors with the mariners but i do respect them. tim hudson is on my fantasy baseball team so i have to root for them once in a while :)

holy shit dood...u have no idea how much my love for ichiro is...he isnt my favorite player but i just fuckin love how suave and badass he is. we were at a mariners game before and if youve ever been to safeco field before, they have a big screen that they show players faces on when they are at bat, like many other ball parks, and inbetween innings they showed a video of the players talking about who was their favorite player on the team and people would say....ehh moyer hes a great pitcher, ehh boone hes got power and average, and then ichiro came up with a backwards mariner hat and dark oakleys on and just says 'me.' it was priceless. hes cocky but i love it

the only time i ever see him saying somethin is in like an after game report when hes like 'yeah we did really well' through a translator or something. what i love about ichiro is that after being the 7 time batting title champ in japan, he comes over and wins the al batting title with a .350 average, not toooo shabby! but with matsui, no disrespect to him or anything, he is way too hyped up. hes the home run champ over there with 50+ each season or whatever and has what, 13? thats only 3 more than ichiro who is infamous for being an all average little power hitter

yea...matsui is way over rated...i think ichiro has done a better job at adapting to the major leagues..

exactly. i mean matsui is gonna have a good year and probly get the al rookie of the year just because hes so hyped up, but i dont think he should.

post your predictions for the division champs and wild card winners....
al east, new york
al central, kc
al west, SEATTLE MARINERS
al wild card, oakland/boston (tough choice, most likely oakland)

nl east, braves
nl central, st. louis (must respect pujols)
nl west, giants
nl wild card, florida/d backs

i think that my predictions would be pretty much the same as yours, but oakland might catch up to the mariners and take the west and then it would be between boston and seattle with seattle taking wild card (since im an oakland fan)...and out in the national league id go with florida with dontrell willis taking the wild card..i think that they are playing harder than the d backs since they are thirsty to get back to the playoffs..even though the d backs got the two big pitchers...

yeah oakland is a clutch second half team and they are right on the mariners heels...i would love to see the yankees start sucking it up (they have been lately) and not get into the playoffs. that would be my dream, along with a turbo'd h22 in my engine bay :D

im hoping the marlins win over the giants, but im guessing the giants will win. also i hope the twins beat the fuck out of the damn yankees, i hate those queers with a passion. basically i want all the underdogs to win. i would like to see red sox v. marlins in the world series just cause the red sox deserve to be there after years of fucking up and cause i love the dontrelle willis-pudge rodriguez battery for the marlins. a reasonable guess is yankees v. braves with the yankees winning....booooooo

if theres one person who deserves a ring...its barry bonds. 8 gold gloves, 5 mvp's (6 after this year) but still no ring. last year they came close but blew it to the douche bag angels. i would like to see the giants in the winners circle this year

yeah i know what u mean, the braves have a MEAN 3-4-5-6 lineup, most home runs in the major leagues, but your right, smoltz is KEY to their success and with him not 100% is a big dent in their strategy. all i want is for the yankees to looose

ooo that would be so sweet, thats a huge rivalry. and yeah the only reason the twins won that game was because the yanks beat themselves with stupid errors.

damn you and your 1000 posts, you are flying! and you dont even whore either...mad props

i was very impressed with the cubs tonight...kerry wood straight up fucking owned the braves, one of the best hitting teams (if not the best). im going with marlins over the cubs though, i love the pudge - dontrelle battery

i agree...the a's and yankees have a deep pitching staff and some power as well...i think the key is pitching tho...

it doesn't matter, because you have two teams in the NLCS that have no chance of beating the yankees or a's in a 7 game series....5 game series favor teams that aren't as good/deep, and more than likely, they will change the first round to a 7 game series in the next year or two......both the cubs and marlins earned their spot, but they're not the best the NL has to offer......the braves just got outplayed and the giants just fucked themselves in every single game....they could gave won in 3 if not for error after error....that was sad.....the cubs have good pitching, but so do the yankees and the yankees can hit as good as anyone too.....
that is very true, the cubs dont have 1/100 of the experience that the yankees do. im really hoping tonight that the red sox beat the a's cause i just hate the a's, but i think the yankees will take down the a's if push comes to shove. but you never know, the fuckin anahiem angels won the world series last year, what a crock of shit, how bout giving it to a team that deserves it. but what can you do, i guess they played better. still rooting for the marlins though, i love em. and yeah the cubs pitching was fabulous, wood and pryor shut down the best offense in the majors, so you gotta tip your hats, but its nothing compared to petitte, wells, clemens, not to mention your postseason dream closer, rivera. we'll see what happens, im a huge mariner fan so im not into the games as much as i would with them, but im a huge fan of baseball so i gotta love it.
