some are gonna say accords i'm sure, but besides accords, whats your favorite honda?

mine would have to be my friends 1992 Integra GS-R. What an amazing car that thing is. Before i would of said a CRX, but now every 16 year old in the world owns one, and finding one in decent shape is damn near impossible,

hell yea crx's, they're the shit, SiR's, stock b16, now THATS stock perfection, 160hp-dohc-vtec, thats my dream, a stock SiR with the signature glasstop, besides that i'm not a huge fan of hondas, i like the s2k, and the nsx and all, but when it comes to reality, it'll be a while before i'll find that in my garage, but all i can say is my nxt car will be a honda, prolly a cb7 or a teg. i got 3 months to decide.

Even though the engines are badly designed... I've ALWAYS liked the 91 Prelude Si 4WS... Oh well... maybe someone will come in with one that has a blown engine.... :)

I can't believe we're on page 2, and I'm the first one to say this...

CB7!

I feel that the newer Honda products aren't as reliable as the older ones. They also seem to bigger and heavier than necessary. Even the little sporty s2k is nearly 20lbs heavier than a CB7! The newer stuff, while safer, more luxurious, and more powerful in stock form, are still lacking the potential of the CB7.

The older model Hondas are just the opposite. Weak, too small, and not as nice looking. I mean, c'mon! Flippy lights on an Accord! :p (the 3G hatch is cool though).

The CB7 is the lightest car that can accept an H22 and still handle perfectly, even on a stock suspension. It looks nice, has a fair aftermarket, is incredibly reliable, and has amazing potential. It can be made into a kickass show car, a racer, or a very luxurious ride.

Aside from that, I would have to go with a car I just discovered last night (thanks to Jasmine). The 3G Prelude INX. It has the same specs as the 3G lude, except it has a CB7 front end.

well, read the first post of this thread, some are gonna say accords i'm sure, but besides accords, whats your favorite honda?

so, yea obviously a lot of these people love their cb7's, but BESIDES that what other honda do u like?

Y'know, I always rag on people for not reading the first post... I actually DID read, or at least I thought I did!

In that case, I'll definitely go with the INX.

HELL YES NEW FAVORITE CAR

(besides my cb7)

ive kinda liked the 3g preludes the best, but only the ones with the red/clear tails... but the flippy headlights turned me off, thats why i went with my fav being the 4th gen preludes.

but holy crap, the 3gen prelude XX (INX) is unbelievable, its my prelude dream come true!!

more awesome pictures: http://www.prelude-fan.de/inx.htm

no flippy lights!

the INX is a japanese car only isnt it

12-27-2003, 10:55 PM
As far as I know it's Japanese only... It's such a shame! I would love one! With a mounting kit, they can fit an H22 as well... and they weigh about the same as a CB7.

If I could find an inexpensive 3G lude over here, and get a front clip from an INX, I would be very very happy! :D

Just another item to add to the wish list...

Hmm Preludes are they way to go....Have anyone notices how like cars got there names Honda? Acura Civic? how the name originated let me know :)

deevergote.
12-28-2003, 02:57 AM
Honda was named after the founder of the company: Soichiro Honda (born 1906, died ?)

I had originally thought the Civic derived it's name from the CVCC engine, though that's not the case. The Civic debuted in 1973, whereas the CVCC engine was introduced in 1975... It was a pretty clever assumption on my part, regardless! :p I don't know how they came up with the name. Probably just some overcaffeinated Japanese marketing execs sitting in a room brainstorming...

Acura is probably just something like Lexus or Infiniti... It just sounds fancy! Us American types shure do like awr fancy-shmancy automobile names! That's why we have to have stupid letters and numbers for our cars, rather than real names: RL instead of Legend (now, anyway), Same with the RSX... and all the cool Toyota names are missing as well... Soarer, Chaser, etc...

not that one there... full carbon fiber bodied (except doors), ITB's, and much more. that nsx I wouldn't mind having. I think i would either say nsx or s2k, or something classic like an old cvcc or 1st gen accord would be nice too or something from the 600 series

my absolute favorite car period not just honda would have to be a second gen integra with a b18c5 swap. i know i know, why didn't i just say type-r?, well to be completely honest, i hate hate hate those little circle headlights that came on 94's and up compared to the rectangular ones...so a second gen with the motor dropped in.

other than that when it comes to honda's, prolly a b-powered crx..

of course i like checking out exotics like the nsx, but get turned towards cars that are attainable for me i guess.

plus id never put my bike in the back of an nsx(or front i mean lol)

I'm a BIG fan of the 88-91 CRX Si or civic Si. but like the guy above said they are hard to find one in good shape. If I hadn't gotten my 4th gen accord I would have gotten a 4th gen prelude they fit my 6'4" frame very nicely. infact if I ever run accross one with a blown engine that's in good shape I may pick it up :-D

I always wanted to get an insight and drop an H22 or a B18 into it... completely defeating the car's purpose, but imagine a fast insight... and they do lok pretty cool as well...

I know this might seem like and odd choice...but I've always liked the 91-95 Acura Legend...the Gs Coupe with the Type II Motor and a 6 speed manual...a kid in my town has a pearl white one with custom black leather and chrome 18s and a nice drop...even though I usually hate chrome rims this one actually looks pretty decent...

Right now I'm ahhhing over the new TL and TSX 6 speed. Man only if I had the money. (I need to give it a couple years for the used ones to start hitting the market)

But in my price range, I would say a 4th gen accord or the new CIvic si, they look so sweet hooked up.

Yeah man, that's a great car! I forget who it was, but someone on here used to have one. Heavy-ass cars, but they're nice as hell.

I notice something whenever you go to a Honda Dealer you always see an original CVCC Honda sitting in the corner with a display card. I dont know if it actually works or its just a dummy car.

As for Acura. The subsidary of Honda's luxury division appeared in 1986 in the U.S to compete with the likes of Lexus, and Infiniti. Headquarters are located in Torrance, Calif.
