Aight i was bored and decided im going to write a newer write up on bulbs.. This time i am going to show pictures of the color and intensity of the bulbs as proof.. there are some that i dont have pictures for and i hope people will provide more pics and what not for me so i can update it all the time and give peeps info.. :tu:
=Köba= (Said to be european made, on the box it says KobaUSA.com, well its a unknown company prolly a kid in his basement) My experience with Köba brand bulbs was rather decent. I had done a 9005 conversion with them, they were a nice output with a kind of dullish looking white blue head on.. not great for show off but semi decent for vision.

This is a pic of the Koba's color.. (less yellow than stock but yellow compared to other ricer bulbs)

Spark Blue 9006/9005(HB Bulb) SEXIEST LOOK EVER
-The Spark blue headlights at a whopping 7500k put out a color of blue that only is seen on the Generation 2 HID units. Althought these bulbs have a huge downfall, their visibility at night.. If you want to be able to see more than 10 feet in front of you these bulbs are not for you.. They are meant for show and they serve that purpose, at night it is like having no light at all, the high temp of the bulb because of the coating causes the blue to scatter into debris and anywhere but visible light.
This One is Koba(LEFT) vs Spark(Right)

Xtreme White Plus (No Pics Yet)
-Well i had these a few months back, and wow they were bright they were around the same as a new OEM bulb would be but a very cool blue/white output which is guarenteed to pass for a 4100k hid, except from close up they are noticeable bulbs... Theyre good for overall driving in my experience with them, you might form your own opinion..
Naxos Xenon Blue (80 watt) 9006 (No Pics)
-Now i must say these bulbs are pure CRAP! they output the light of a 40 watt bulb and they are not even BLueish, theyre pale white not even a deep nice white, just in between yellow and white.. DONT WASTE A DIME ON THEM..
EuroLite DP (Purple) DOT/SAE approved bulb (No Pics)
-These bulbs i didnt even test for more than 5 minutes because the color of it spoiled the whole thing, theyre not purple they are a pale pink color, i personally thought it was a ugly color, plus it was a 9005 conversion, not anywhere near as bright as some of the other bulbs i tested.
Nokya 55->80w 8500k Purple (No Pics Yet)
-These bulbs had to be the weirdest bulbs ive ever bought! i had them in a 9006 and they were semi decent output at night, the only weird thing about these bulbs are.. during the day theyre the deepest shade of purple, but at night theyre a Ghost white. i mean HID Identical white.... its so weird i couldnt figure it out but theyre semi decent. They also run very HOT! i tested and ran them for 45 minutes, the connectors got a little bit soft so use with caution..
SilverStar 9005 Conversion (Ty EuroJDMcb7 For the silverstar pics)
This has to be my favorite bulb to date for output wise and pure ghost white.. This is the only bulb that ive used so far that doesnt diminish vision for the sake of color of the bulb. This bulb does shine very bright for all that see it, head on my new headlamps and these bulbs are hid identical 4100k OEM Hid color that is, no blue-pure white

EuroDezigns 6000k Blue
This was a bulb that i know another 2 people had tried and we all got the same result. A stock yellowish looking light, definately less yellow than stock but not even as good as the worst HID look alike bulb.. They are not bad but the downside is they are high wattage running 80watts. They claim it wont cause extra heat at 80w but it sure does, dont use in plastic lenses unless you need new headlamps soon because you will.. haha...
Hiper (Xenon bulbs)
These bulbs claim to be brighter but theyre not, they have a slight bluish tinge to them but maintain a white color.. Vision with them isnt too good compared to stock halogen.
Stock 9005 Honda Conversion
Just for the hell of it i know that ztech did this, im going to try it and see if its even brighter at all.. now im wondering this because with alot of the ricer bulbs i iused to convert.. they never seemed any brighter in a conversion... i have a feeling that its going to be super bright on the clear halogens just because theirs no coating to rob any of the light. my other prediction is that its going to be a lil whiter as all high beam bulbs are because they are higher wattage than the lower, if you look at the high vs low in stock format. the high is always whiter.. still yellowish tho so its all good.
if you have any questions on any of the bulbs just start a new topic because i did not want the review to get cluttered :tu:

RS Type Super White Bulbs
9006 Type/55W
(Ty for midnight racer x for the pics and the description)
He told me these bulbs are White during the day and White during the night. They give off a nice blue reflection when they are off during the day. At night he said they dont dissapate in the rain.. which is odd.. but maybe hes rite..
heres some of the pics.

Lazer Blue 9005's (lowbeams):
These bulbs are excellent on all fronts.
Projected color: Very white with the slightest hints of yellow and blue.
Headlight color: ~5500K look.
Beam pattern: Relatively wide and long...probably 80-85% of the area of high beams w/o the glare.
Rain vision: Pretty good...the yellowness helps.
Cost: Don't remember...$30/pr?
Life: A year and still strong, way better than my Silverstars(3 months).
Sylvania Silverstars 9005 (lowbeams):
These bulbs are somewhat overhyped, but not bad. I wouldn't get them again...
Projected color: Purplish/blue white w/not enough yellow. Beautiful on cars in front of me w/sparkly clearcoat.
Headlight color: Straight up OEM HIDs.
Beam pattern: Not good from what I remember; relatively bright within short distance.
Rain vision: AWFUL, COMPLETELY WASHED OUT. My girl at the time complained.
Cost: $40/pr easy.
Life: ~~~3-4 months maybe? Disappointing. Perhaps they use a different filament than the 9006's; brighter but lower life. My left side went out and I was pissed...

cool blue*autozone*: its crap.. output still yellow..
life: i returned it the same day...
Rain: dont care never had it long enough
most autozone people are dumbasses anyway.. i asked if they were blue output and they gave an unsure yes.. and most of the time i ask them a technical question.. they dont even know what it is..
_________________________________________________
EURO DEZINES:
is fuckin crap... NOT BLUE like they said and out put sucks.. they claim that they are DOT but they are not! i did the 9005 conversion on them.. its wack..
life: dont give a crap. cuz i gave them away in a week
color: basically another shitty superwhite which is hard to tell if your lights are on or the road is lighter...
rain: NOT VISIBLE AT ALL
_________________________________________________
SILVER STARS 9005 conversion:
theyre are great .. i did the 9005 conversion and it is pretty bright.. i got better vision and plus cops hasnt hassled me that my color/brightness is a problem..
life: so far i had them more then 8 months already and still going..
color wise:pretty nice.. has a slight green tint at some angles.. not yellow.. more of a white color.. not too noticeable for after market..
rain: visible.. but reflection sucks..

okay from the pic u took of ur eurodesigns 8500K... ur pic the light looks white and that 8500k is bs.... how is the light output though? can you take a pic of it at night from inside the car?

FYI, yellowish light is the brightest and best in the rain. Hell, OEM HID's are a little yellow on the road if I'm not mistaken. The ideal situation would be a light that's yellow on the road but bluish in your housing (again like 4100K HID's)...

I also have Eurodezigns 8500k in my projectors.....for 8500K its not that blue , i guess because of the projectors but should be pretty blue in stocks?

nokyas are decent but if u want the looks then go for them. But mainly they are just color coated bulbs with little visibility.

Do not forget to upgrade your harness if you want to buy Nokya's. They run very high wattage, and will fry your stock harness in no time.

I just bought the silverstars, and holy shit what a difference. I had the apc ones and they didnt last me through the year. If you can find the redline bulbs they are similar to the silverstars but i cant find those anymore. You can buy the bulbs at walmart and keep your packaging, that way when they go dead just bring them back and get new ones. Wal mart will take anything back :D

Now to add that the silverstars just died on me, and they are absolute shit in the rain. Don't get them if you want to see where you are going at night!

I don't have a CB7 but I joined this site as I saw this thread and for some unknown reason have a love for differn't headlight bulbs and am always chaning mine. Too bad I don't have too many pictures on hand let me see what I can find. I'm looking for some now blue as I havne't found a set blue enough for me yet but I'll probably just keep what I have for a while.
Here are some pictures of a set of 9006 Eurolite Xenon Crystals I tried
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v445/hometheaterman/EuroliteCrystalBulbPackage5.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v445/hometheaterman/EuroliteCrystalBulbs2.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v445/hometheaterman/EuroliteCrystallit1.jpg
In these pictures it is Farenheit Super Whites on the drivers side and Eurolite Crystals on the passenger side. The Farenheits are whiter than stock but still have some yellow.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v445/hometheaterman/EuroliteCrystalBulbs1001.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v445/hometheaterman/EuroliteCrystalBulbs1006.jpg
The Farenheit may be a little brighter but I don't think this much I think the car must have been at an angle or something I can't figure it out.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v445/hometheaterman/EuroliteCrystalBulbs1006.jpg
Here is it with both of them in. The outside light may be on I'm not sure but that may be why they look differn't. Although I'm not sure they are as blue as in the last picture.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v445/hometheaterman/EuroliteCrystalBulbs1011.jpg
I liked these bulbs a fair amount and ran them for a few months without the blowing out and then just took them out to try Eurolite Fusions. I am keeping the Crystals as spares. They look really blue when you have one side a stock or similar non blue bulb but when both have been replaced they just look white not a whole lot of blue to them.
Next I tried Eurolite Fusions and did the 9005 conversion. I was looking for something bluer and Cardomain rated these as having a higher temp. rating but I couldn't tell a differnce to tell you the truth.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v445/hometheaterman/BergensCarandTruckandEuroliteFusion.jpg
I can't find any of these lit up but they look similar to the others. They seem to also be slightly bluer when you first turn them on. I did hit one with a file when modifying them and put a slight scratch in it so it may not be quite as blue because of that but I don't think it made much of a differnce. I have run these for several months without a problem. The arnt as blue as some really blue bulbs but are blueish white. I wouldn't mind getting some with more blue but haven't seen any pics of ones like I want in this thread yet and not sure what to try next.
Here is picture of the Farneheit super whites although with my old camera which took crappy pictures.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v445/hometheaterman/Package.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v445/hometheaterman/FarenheitBulbs.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v445/hometheaterman/FarenheitBulbsinHeadlight.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v445/hometheaterman/BulbsonWall.jpg
Before these I tried some Eurolite Super Plasma bulbs and wouldn't reccomend them. The low beams burnt out every 2 months or so and I tried more than one set they all were the same. They wern't really blue or purple just pure white. I had my high beams for over 2 years before one burnt out and was fairly happy with them so bought another set and when I opened the package it seemed the bulbs didn't have nearly as much purple tint on them as the old ones from 2 years ago and when I put them in they seemed white with some yellow the old ones were pure white. I was pretty unhappy so after a week or so replaced them with Fusions.
I had a friend with Eurolite Crystal high wattage bulbs a few years ago and they seemed bluer than mine but I'm not sure if they changed the bulbs since then like the super plasma's or if the higher wattage ones are bluer than the regular wattage ones.

I just recently tried Nokya's in my truck and took them back after a few days of use. They were the Stage II 100/120watt ones. I really liked the color they were pretty blue but when lighting up the road they were also blue and seemed about the color of the asphalt and just didn't light up so well my foglights were stock and you could see the ground well then after that not much but it might have just seemed that way since my fogs were a differn't color I don't know. They were even worse in the rain. If I didn't care about the light output I'd be running them as they look good but they arn't bright enough for me several times I found myself hunched over looking trying to see. I know lights on a lifted truck arnt that great anyway but they are better than that.

Those are BY FAR the best, if you can afford them :D SOO Expensive.
Personally i'm using the EUROLITE 9006 9005 Bright White ones.
WAYYY better than stock.
And great in snow / rain.

Those bulbs r lovely. Love the way the halogen bulb burns but i sorta have problem with em on a dark road in the rain. Iv gotta use my yellow fog lights to improve my vision. Eventhough they suck in this aspect, they still look cool! :tu: Iv got no regrets buying them and i highly recommend them to everyone after all we dont drive on dark roads everyday in the rain do we? :bouncy: If you have yellow fog lights on ur ride, it looks similar to a jdm 98 spec integra type r!

just watched a news report on the "after market" lighting craze. after testing with light meters and stauncheons (sp? but they are basically lighted cones or something to that effect), none of the lights tested (sylvanias, ge's, etc.) were better than stock bulbs in the light metered test (measured from 50ft and using readings from different parts of the beam against a wall). only the ge nighthawks were better on the stauncheon test (and their effect was only noticeable on the honda ridgeline)...don't know if that belongs here but thought i'd throw it in...

i have the silverstar's ther pretty good for short distance, but you can't see anything far away. the eurolite xenon fusion's are crap they give off a blue look but they have the same problem as the silverstars (short distance only).

I loved the look of my silverstars, but they lasted only 6 months. :td:
I put back in the old sylvania's and I've been using them for 4 years now. One is regular, the other is the cool blue variety. Can barely tell a difference between the two.
I may get some of the new ultras if my crappy sylvania's go out, but I'm cautious after my others died so fast.
