I have a 90 fastback. Whats yours?
Yeah, i agree, their sweet cars. Mine has the full I/E/H combo with a 2.5" straight pipe. KYB AGXs all around with intrax coils. Its also got Apexi front and rear strut bars. Fun as hell to drive.

Yep, I also have a 90 stanza that has the same ka motor as the 240sx, but it is a fwd.

I always wondered about the Stanzas... they seem like they would be cool to hook up, and no one around here seems to do it.

Well the problem with the stanza's is that there is only so much you can do to them, not many companies make aftermarket parts for them. Even parts such as a C.A.I are not offered, so we have to improvise with other car's intakes. It's a trial and error process, I wish it were as simple to get parts for it as it is to get parts for my accord, you know all the bolt on stuff. If your interested go to www.teamnse.com , they have some perrty good looking rides. But ya the stanza is a total sleeper so watch out for them!

instead of a stanza get the car that replaced it....an altima. I used to have a 2.4 with a i/h/e on coilovers and 17's and i loved it. I could walk on most imports around here with it. Plus it handled better than my current 4th gen cord

But what's the fun in that, a lot of people have modded altima's, and yeah they're a little nicer looking but its just not me!
Now with the Stanza, I have a lot of people in cb7's roll up to me and want to race, I just turn to them and laugh, now don't get me wrong I have been beat by accord's but not by many, and the times I have been beat it was a close race like by 1/2 a car length. A lot of the times when I lose to a cb7 I ask them to pop thier hood to see what's under it. They usually all have an intake and a header, and when they look under my hood they are surprised to see that I'm running totally STOCK!

I spanked an Infiniti tonight... I think it was a j... Not positive (I didn't get a good look at the back of it!)
Anyway, I'd much rather have a nice sleeper Stanza than an Altima... I don't know why, but Altimas never interested me. They're pretty big, and fairly heavy... If I want big and heavy, I'd much rather have a Maxima! Of course, I'm sure the older Altimas aren't all that heavy... Eh... :p

The Stanza has a 2.4 and my accord has a 2.2. If I had to choose one of the two cars to race I would choose my Stanza because it is a lot lighter than my heavy ass accord, around 500 pounds lighter.

my friend just got an altima, with the KA24DE motor... car drove realllly nice, and that engine was pretty damn strong. very nice car, definately has potential to be a sleeper. talking to him, a company called Ripp Modifications is working on a supercharger for the KA, also there is a 2.8l stroker kit available.

Yeah the altima has the Ka24De which is a dual overhead cam, but the stanza only has Ka24e which is only a single overhead cam. Come to think of it, someone on www.teamnse.com was trying to put the DE head on the stanza motor?

My friend just wrecked his pristine 92 stanza :( It had 227K miles on it...original clutch and exhaust too, but we had a bunch of tricks with it...one of the neatest things he had done was retrofit Maxima SE gauges into it, they read perfect and everything, but those cares had a decent amount of power to them, when we'd race I'd have trouble keeping up with him...

What's your friend going to do with his Stanza? Is he going to fix it or is it beyond repair? If he is going to get rid of it, meaning taking it to a salvage yard, I would be very interested in his gauge cluseter so let me know!

Sadly, he waited around too long after he crashed it, so he lost any chance to pull parts off of it, the insurance company totalled it and took it away before he even was able to pull his headunit...he went across the state to find where it was and all that hadn't been pulled were the door speakers...there were so many things he had on it that were real stanza parts, like the factory alloys, the factory clear turn signals, stuff we spent a long time to find...but to do it all you need is the cluster from a 89-91 maxima se, and you just swap the tach...everything else is a bolt in...if you want i can talk to my friend and he can tell me how he did it...
