finally got to try out my nitrous a few minutes ago...is 1am here.
i figure theres less traffic on the road at this time so i head out for a while.

went down one street and let it loose, car spins like hell in second, spins in second like it would spin in first.
i try to run the quarter using my g-tech but the road wasnt str8, it had curves in it so the best i could pull was 15.1 at 96mph.

then i ran on another road but this one had a slope going up in the direction i was going in, only reason i still ran on this road was because i was gettin fustrated i couldnt find a good on so i said f it.
i ran a 15.5 @97mph this time....mph's way off. i kno, i think the g-techs busted, runing the quater at that mph should put me in the 15.1-14.9 range.

also the bottle psi is only at 600psi it needs to be around 900-1100psi. i havent wired my bottle warmer up yet. so its not getting its full power, but u still can fill it.

but anyway to the race part.

im riding around just hoping someone with try me.....

and i get to one light and its perfect, get my g-tech ready but then.....damn car jumps in the lane, damn.
get to the next light just up ahead i see a caprice.....o yeah, folks around here sware those cars are Gods gifts, heres my chance to smoke him.
he's at the light, im pulling up to the light tryna harry up and get it before it changes on me, plus i have my nitrous armed and i cant hit the gas that hard or it will engage.
so i make the red light, yes.
we line up side by side, i look over at him, normally i wouldnt do that but i was like fuck it, i can have some fun once in awhile.
he has a purple color caprice with tint and caprice wheels. so im like yeah he's gona bite.
i rev it a little but not a lot ofcorse or BOOM.....

light hits green and i give it a little gas because if not...ill spin like shit in 1st. he's right beside me, i catch then floor it, nitrous squrts.........2nd....floor it........squrt, by 2nd i was 5-6 cars infront, after that i was just gone, i got cought at the light ahead and never seen him get up to the light.
that made my day, even tho the damn g-tech wont give me the satisfactory of showing me a 14....:p

Your bottle pressure should be 900-950. If you are spinning that much tire then your G-Tech could be right. I've pulled 14.8's at the track and trapped 98mph and that's with no traction. 98mph is easily a 14.10 mph.

Congradulations on the kill, Glad it wasn't a LT1 Caprice :)

yeah i dont kno what model the caprice was, i didnt even look, long as it was a caprice with young dudes in it, im fine with that...lol

the g-tech is probably off because the road isn't level. So just find a level straight-a-way and have at it. What size shot are u running?...if u didn't say b4

55shot, only because i dont have the tools to set my timing back to stock and then 2degrees retarded.

once i get that done, im upping it to 65shot.

i really need to wire up my bottle warmer for it also, to get it at the correct psi level, that makes a hell of a difference.

My suggestion to you is, Use the 75 shot. Run high test gas (93), run plugs two heat ranges colder, put your ignition timing at 13 degrees, and run that 75 shot and check for detonation.

I think you'll be alright with just that since your running a wet kit. If you get some detonation you could either kick the timing back another two degrees or put a larger fuel jet in and try again.

The F22Ax doesn't run as bad as the H22A does with timing taken out and at 13 degrees your still within spec so you should maintain good N/A driveabilty. I would just run the 75 on the F22 your not going to hurt anything and that engine can use all the help it can get.

my ignition timings advanced all the way now, so what would be the degree for that.

ive been thinking about upping it this week. just cant get enuff.

i got denso colder plugs. shit ran me 50bux, could have got them off the net cheaper but i needed them now so i just brought them from autozone.

so u think my timings str8 where it is sense i have a wet kit?

You need to find out where your timing is at now. I don't know how advanced you are. What's the number of those Denso's you bought?

yeah but if u have a 55shot ur good with timing advance. u really dont ahve to do any adjustments with a 55shot.

i retarded my timing yesterday to proper settings and upped it to 65shot.

love it even more.

The reason a GTech reads higher mph is it gives terminal velocity as opposed to an average. So you were going that fast but you can't estimate an ET from it.

i figured that with the g-tech.
but the caprice i can beat without the shot, depends on what type. i have more then the 50shot.
i could have run it all motor and beat it but i wanted to try out the nitrous

and damn, i didnt kno those cars were that heavy and the SS caprice might be heavy but i here there fast. legend has it that theres a 12second caprice in my area, sometimes when u drive pass an alley way, u can see it in the shadows and hear the muffler roar with the howling wind.:lol:

and the Et, thats why im going to the track next week........str8 away vs. curved roads and slope

Nice. These is now SS caprice. There was an Impala SS made from 94-96 with the same body and everything as a caprice but with 17" rims, some different body mods, a floor shifter, nicer interior, and with the LT1. The LT1 came in the Impala SS, some Vettes, and the 9c1 caprice police package. They sell those LT1 police cars at state auctions for about $2500. An Uncle of mine has a friend who bought on and the Police Caprice is pretty much the exact same car as the Impala SS as far as performance goes. 260hp and 300tq is a lot even if the car is 4300lbs. Look in the Off Topic section, I put a link of a guy with a 5000 lb. Caddy with a LT1 and a manual transmission swap. Runs mid to low 14's if I remember right. None the less, your car kicks ass and good luck with the nitrous.

a lot of guys arond here had caprice with the police packages meanly because they get them from the auction. i was gona get one a while ago, throw some nice 19inch wheels on it and everything.

my couzin has a crown vic with a police package in it.
i wanna run that but cant never find him. but ill have plenty of goes at the track next week.

i normally hop in the staging lanes when its time, no matter who im lined up with, and thats usually a 12-13 second mustang or a WRX, atleast this time i wont get smoked to bad..lol
