Slide 2 Slide Racing

Hey guys im trying to start a new race team "Slide 2 Slide" so far i got a few people to join in my area (kalispell, MT). So far i got Dale 94 Accord EX, Junior 92 Mazda Protege, Skip 95 Honda Civic and 93 240sx, Jarret 92 BMW 325i, Trey 95 Accord Ex. Lookin for more people to join. Its nothin big. Its for showin off your ride, racin, and drifting. If it gets a little bigger i will come up with a logo and have some stickers or vinyls made up. Just because you have to use your e-brake to initiate the drift, doesnt mean its not drifting. If you stand dead center in front of my car, I can slide full even circles aound you. Its not the same as RWD drifting, but it takes alot more skill. Pig Pen, where do I sign up?

Agreed. Too bad they have to do it in the wet or snow. They cannot hold angle worth a shit in dry weather. There is no such thing as drifting in ff. Only off throttle oversteer and tire dragging. Dont be pulling that Falken Civic HB bs either I havent seen that dude compete ever since he came out that one time on Honda Tuning or whichever magazine. Thats all ff "drifting" is all it is is dragging the rear tires. RWD > FWD drifting anyday.

You dont have to have the ebrake pulled the whole time, THAT is tire dragging. If you use it to initiate, then release and just use power and light brake pulls to keep it sideways.

First of all...I've seen all the fwd "drifting" vids and I am not eating my words. Secondly, you won't see me trying it in a parking lot late on a saturday night. I don't beat on my car because I want it to last, if I had a spare beater...of course I would, but I don't and I'm not fucking my car up. And if I got a beater for that I would for 1. try and get a rwd car for actual drifting, and 2. not call myself a drifter because I'm ripping the ebrake and powersliding.

I'm in no way against what your doing...I don't give a shit because it's your thing...it's just my personal opinion.

*EDIT* watched that video...all that kid does is destroy that car. He only "drifts" when it's wet out...and you can see he just holds the e-brake the entire way around the turn while floorin it. And all the rest is him destroying the undercarriage by going off a jump then fucking his car up by peeling out in the parking lot. He looks like a fucking idiot.

Is that really the best video of FWD Drifting you could find. If that guy is not a ricer I dont know what is. I want to see part two of this video after he gets the tranny fixed but ends up blowing the motor or running over the guy with the camera. Other then that all you have in this video is a perfect example of what a ricer is. All he was missing was a big whale tale. LOL. The vid did suck ass but if you do what I did aget every thing reinforced and making sure your shit can handle it, then it will work. That fucking idiot was a ricer and I in no way am part of that whole scene. I dont do it on public street or in the rain. And as for the RD car thing, I am in the process of building a Toyota Cressida with a 2JZ for drifting. Im not into ebrake ripping, trailbraking and a pull to initiate is all I do.
