IA looks good, doubtful that my car will be running by then but I might go anyway to look around. I ordered a 12.00 crank pulley tool from Amazon and it worked great, I paid 80.00 for the blue point one I lost. Going to use my old h23 head as it is built and should be ready to go, just need to get it surfaced and checked first. I have most of what I need to get the project complete, just need to find time between house projects, work and family time.

Gates belt on the way. Tore down the h23a3 and it looks okay. Not low mileage as advertised but has been maintained properly. I can't find my crank pulley tool so at a stopping point for now. Need to get the head off and sent out for cleaning and valve guide seals etc.

I do remember the repaint, lol. from what I've heard for aftermarket timing belts, Gates is the next best thing to oem. there's also greddy belts, but I just haven't heard anything good about them. later.
