Hey everybody, I'm a newbe I suppose. It's funny, I didn't even know I was mechanically inclined until I decided I wasn't going to pay shops $90 an hour to work on my car. It's amazing how much money you can save when you pay the $20 bucks for the Hanes CB7 manual. Complete, easy to understand instructions and references to other pages to make sure you know what your doing. I have a 92 Accord EX coup. The only thing I have had a shop do is install a 3" cat-back with a nice sounding resonator and a tubular stainless steal Borrola (I think) muffler. I had another 92 which I installed cross drilled and slotted rotors- a real pain in the ass, I had to practically dismantle the front end, take the upper control arm off, pull the hub and then put everything back together. CB7's have what are called consealed rotors. That 92 was an automatic so I wrecked it and bought a 92 manual. So far I have put the cat-back from the old one on my new one, installed Koni STR/T struts, H&R Sport springs, painted the door trim and the base trim the same color as the car, re-painted the bumpers, installed clear corner lenses and bumper signals, and a short, cold air, ram intake. Next I am going to do a minimoto retro projector kit, and an Evo carbon fiber hood. After that, I am going to install a Bisimoto f22ax header with the $150 ceramic coating option. It looks much cleaner with the coating. Eventually I want to install a Fiddanza light weight fly wheel and an Act 6 puck clutch and big boy brakes on the front, it's total overkill but big boy brakes make your car look like it must be really fast. lol! There is an article in hear by Deevergote on how to add 50 hp for under $400. It's a great article and I would suggest it to anyone who wants to know how to cheaply add some ponies to their CB7. I was going to go with the T3/T4 turbo option but it is so expensive and if I do what Deevergote suggests and add the Bisimoto header and light weight fly wheel I will be getting about the same amount of hp that a turbo would give me without the huge cost and have a more reliable car too. I will also be able to do most of the labor myself. I wouldn't feel comfortable installing my own turbo, and you have to have it tuned to your engine. Keep up the good work everybody!
