I studying Mechanical Engineering, but that has nothing to do with being a mechanic, I think the best place for being a body specialist or mechanic would be going to uti, or wyotech.

Hey, Juan, I've been meaning to shoot you a message to say "thank you" for all the info on the oil cooler. It turned out that my car doesn't have one! I feel kind of silly that it took me so long to realize. I took off my oil filter and looked behind it and the whole fitting in there is cast right in, no way to unbolt anything. I guess only EX models have the oil cooler? I'm not sure. I guess my leak is coming from something else. But I really appreciate you sending the diagram and procedure etc.

Hi, juan, I was wondering when you did your oil filter o ring did you drain the coolant out of the block first? I'm confused whether I need to do that because I know there's a coolant fitting somewhere in there but I don't have a diagram of the oil filter assembly so won't know till I pull it apart. Someone somewhere gave the the idea that I'd contaminate the coolant or something if I didn't drain it first, or maybe contaminate the oil with coolant, I can't remember which.

Thought I'd get a heads up from someone who has done the job and seen everything in there.
