And Yet, another Wagon ..

Finally found a 5 speed cobalt blue (92) .. in pretty damn good shape, with no rust and a clean interior.
Is there any way to find out just how many of these were actually made?
Cause they're no where to be found much anymore.

I looked forever! Jarhead, pedroalcala, and CB7PR will tell you that I was obsessed lol!
I'm hoping that Kyle is about done with classes, so that he can help me sometime soon. :D

Clean in and out. The guy that owned it was an aircraft mechanic too. Soooo ..
Needless to say, it still pulls like a healthy 5 speed and she's got a bit over 200k on the big 0.
I expect to find somethng that'll need attention, however he's assured me it's running strong.
Nevertheless, encouraging words to hear from a "mechanic." :tu:

I have a question about the ABS tho. I want to swap my Prelude 2.0si steering wheel from the sedan.
Do I have to unplug anything on the wagon, or remove a fuse so I don't have the airbag like, explode on me lol?
My 90 never had a bag ... Buut, something tells me that I don't wanna f around with somethng that I dunno anything aboutz. :nono:

I love that arm-rest, and the off-center hand/brake console.
More places for more switches .. :tu:

The greatest part about this whole thing is that I bought a JDM wagon front bumper complete with fogs from CB7PR.
And, it's cobalt blue lol. I was gonna paint my sedan anyway, but, I just never got around to it.
It's been on my sedan for like 5 years lol!

I'll be on the look-out here and there for a few parts:
I'd ideally like to find a set of 93 EX oem alloys. I may even jump up to a Volk te37,
or a rota grid type of wheel. But those volks may have to wait lol!
The 2 rear head-rests aren't there, so, I need a pair of those.
Will the fronts from a sedan work? I wonder ..
Also a cargo cover and the oem roof rack from either an accord or an odyssey.

As I mentioned to you on the phone Felipe, I may wanna go with a coill-over set up on the rear,
and do the eibach sport lines in front. The reading that I've been doing, along with some of the images that I've seen,
suggest to me that the rear likes to "sag" .. so perhaps an adjustable C/O on the rear may remedy this?

Any input and or helpful suggestions are always welcome IMHO!
I really look foward to sharing posts, and hopefully some "parts" with the rest of the wagon members here as well! :boink:

Thanks to Deev, Felipe, Kyle, CB7PR, Accordwarrior, Peter, and everyone else here
who over the maannyy years has helped me out in SO many ways .. I could never thank you guys enough! Serious! :tu: :tu:

Now then, it's on to bigger and better thangs! :bouncy:

Thanks you guys n gals! :tu:

cb007 03-10-2011 05:45 PM

wicked wagon, I was searching for one myself. :tu::tu:.

SilverShadow 03-10-2011 05:49 PM

Fantastic find...and a 4th generation. Don't touch the exterior, leave it stock but go for a h22. That way when some dope laughs at your car you say "bye" as you step on the gas and he sees you disappear. You don't need to ask me if I ♥ wagons. I have no $ but I'm obsessed worse than when I collected comics. Hope to see you on both forums.

Thanks Steve, I see you quite a bit over on AWC .. Felipe showed me the way a while ago.
She's going in for paint asap .. clear coat is a lil rough lol!
I wanna get that done before summer.
Then it's on to springs/coilovers, struts/shocks, wheels, and whatever else .. :bouncy:
(ps Steve) .. in pulling the wagon sterring wheel .. what do I have to be concerned with in terms of the air bag deploying?

And thanks 007 .. :tu:

disconnect battery cables and run whatever left dry

dannyd 03-10-2011 06:24 PM

If you are referring to the SRS. Yes, you have to disconnect the air bag.
I was looking at then trim an then I saw that you have no sunroof...so yours is an LX. Which means no ABS.

Nice Wagon though, I love the color.....:tu:

wagon looks mint man. congrats on the find hell mines an auto and im loving the hell out of her.

JTM 03-10-2011 08:01 PM

Awesome pickup bro. She's clean!

H22WAGON93 03-10-2011 08:13 PM

Nice find Tommi. That thing is mint. If mine looked like that I would keep it. I think that color is rare. Ive never seen that color in person on a wagon. Might only be my second on the internet. Take care of that interior, looks mint.

Its already 5sp, just drop a H22 in it. The H22 in a wagon surprises people on the roads. Specially those VW guys

If you need any help, you got my #

Something about that color for me. I'd really like to find out how many were made .. in 5 speed.
Yeah, something about an aircraft mechanic owning it and maintaining it as well, helps me breathe a bit better ... :D
If after awhile, the motor needs replacing, I'll prolly go with another f22 ..
maybe an a6 at that .. who knows lol!

I just wanna go thru it with a fine toothed comb and and get rid of what bugs it may have .. for now.

And thanks man, I saved your # and if in the future, you have any other toys ...
I'll keep an eye on your thread to catch any updates .. subscribed to it.

Thanks again for all the comments folkz! :tu:

nice wagon man

hey mark my old 91 was that color but half the car was flat black lol

SilverShadow 03-10-2011 11:39 PM

Sorry but I've never taken off a steering wheel and i think these guys answered it. As for not having ABS on...I have a 92LX wagon, I know the dash light shows SRS active...but no ABS?
I love the green wagon ^ there. What lip is that? Would I have to revmove the one on there now or does that add on?

Clean_4th gen 03-11-2011 03:27 AM

Good job on taking your time and finding the right CB9. Any plans?
