Fixing oil leak. or h22?
Rust repair.

Current Issues:
Oil leak: Coming from the weep hole on the lower timing belt cover, unknown source, leaks less than 1 quart in 3k miles.
Driver's side window: broken tooth on either motor or lift arm.
Left rear door lock: sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.
Heat: Heater core somewhat plugged so I don't have very much heat. Two winter's ago the water pump failed, sucking in all sorts of salty crap on the 1000 mile trip home in a snow storm in 15 degree weather (only reason my car never overheated.)
Rust: Never stops. Maybe do some body work come spring.... might try gluing on some new panels after cutting out the rust.
Power Steering: Replaced rack last spring. The new rack has play in it..... good thing it has a warranty. the first one we put in was bad too. Maybe third one is a charm?
ABS light on: left rear wheel sensor rusted off. new "used" one in a box awaiting installation.

salt lick. it's been washed

Looking good.

Hmm, what mods might you be looking to do on it? ;)

mtnbikaah 07-01-2008 07:29 PM

thanks for the comments!

if im going to mod it i want to do it right.

1) brakes/wheels. id love to do ROH or do a 5 lug conversion, that would open the door to bigger brakes. i'd prefer to do 5 lug and get some newer, bigger accord wheels (16's or17's) so i can do bigger brakes of some kind.

2) suspension. i havent thought too much about this but would like to get coilovers some day. which ones, im not sure.

3) I/H/E. I would like to get an h23 upper plenum/ TB set up in there. Get a 3" AEM CAI, with the bypass valve. Header, i have no idea, i haven't looked into one at all. Exhaust, ive been looking into the tasauto.com stainless catback. looks like an awesome system for the money.

4) cam. someday it would be great to get a delta regrind of some kind. i dont want it too aggressive because i still have to get it to pass emissions.

5) chip an ECU. yeah, to go along with the more aggressive cam.

it's all dreamin. to do all of this would be wiked expensive. for now im going to just keep it good shape. I may upgrade as things break. I did brakes last fall, but didn't know enough about ROH or 5 lug conversions at the time to do it. my exhaust is starting to leak and may get replaced by the end of summer. i have a broken rear motor mount right now as well. i almost want to get an upper plenum/ TB from an h23 and replace it while i have the IM out replacing the mount. and in doing that i should just get the CAI. gah, it's all adding up.

*edit* oh yeah, tires will be replaced soon as well. probably getting michelin pilot exalto a/s for a good all around all season tire.

I would deffinetly recomend the suspension some time soon. It would look so good sittin on some lowering springs.

ExCoupe92 07-09-2008 08:05 PM

clean ass ride man. I really oughta get me one of those bike racks. I like the way they look haha.

I don't even ride my bike.

mtnbikaah 07-09-2008 08:51 PM

i got 28mpg with 3 bikes up there last weekend.

the best tank, with the rack (no bikes), was just about 32mpg.

i guess i lost about 4mpg with the 3 bikes up there, but then again i was driving faster last weekend, with more traffic (less open road cruising).

loving the bike rack... ive just got a strap rack for my trunk and it weighs the rear down really bad with two bikes... need on of those

emissions? NC cars this old dont go through them. only 10years old or newer.

-so no worries about emissions:thumbsup:
