Good point. It’s smart to replace the rear main seal whenever you do the clutch. Sadly, that means the clutch assembly will have to come off after all.

I didn’t realize Gude was even still in existence! If you’re not terribly concerned with performance, there are other options as well. Gude’s Bullfrog camshafts aren’t terribly inexpensive, and their...

Yes, make a new thread. Don’t go digging up corpses. People aren’t going to reply to you, but the original post. Make your own thread, and your...

If the clutch isn’t slipping or acting weird, then you may be good. Changing the throwout bearing is definitely smart, but you can probably leave the clutch assembly alone if you think it’s working...

Weird. The pedal shouldn’t need to be adjusted in most cases. Unless your guy fiddled with it. Glad you found at least a partial fix!

Just be sure to find a true Japanese header (JASMA is kinda like their equivalent to our CARB). There is a cheap crap “JASMA” brand out there that’s basically just overpriced generic garbage.

We’re...

I don’t think google drive images work, unfortunately.

If the flywheel wasn’t replaced or resurfaced, then your clutch disc is very likely ruined. Doing that will glaze the friction surfaces.

The...

I’d be wary of the “built”/“rebuilt” status of that engine. Unless you know and trust the history, it could be a can of worms. You could always part out the truck to recoup much of the cost, though....

Raceeng.com is your friend for internals. You’ll probably want a machine shop to prep your block as well. Can’t hurt to find a good one now and ask them some questions. A good machinist will have a...

That’s correct on the collector. You can find decent collectors from Burns Stainless. Not cheap, but very well made. You might also want to consider a higher quality header, like DC Sports. Adding a...

Yeah, the wagon fitment is different. You can modify a sedan/coupe exhaust, or better yet, just have a reputable shop build you something. I went that route, and never regretted it.

Might as well...

There should be quite a few posts about the “dsm turbo setup” on here from about a decade ago. At least two guys were known for selling nearly complete kits that they pieced together, even.

Was the flywheel replaced, or at least resurfaced, when the clutch was replaced?

If the throwout bearing wasn’t replaced, that’s bad. A new oem bearing should always be used. If that seizes,...

Install a cat.
Otherwise, 2.25” or 2.5” is fine. Narrower will give you a bit more power down low, and cost you a bit up high. Since most of your diving will in the lower RPM range, you’ll probably...
