Abs systems on theae cars are not very useful/never work at the age they are at now. Unless you spend time to restore it. I personally not messed with it, mine doesnt work, but doesnt play up either.

Most likely the radius rod arms, check they are not worn or loose. Also it would affect braking either pull straight or worse pull right.

I had something similar, turned out to be a bad front motor mount which was fixed by a poly one. Just throwing that curve ball out there. Momentary power loss while engine repositions.

Yes they would, but reading what you are trying to do. Its possible it will not be enough. The logical thing since you already got your wheel and tyre combo, is to buy Hardrace uppers and lower arms....
