Yup, that's exactly what I did with my H23 intake...

Yup, that's exactly what I did with my H23 intake manifold. Just zip tied the black box to the firewall and ran longer vacuum lines to it. Works great.

Or just remove the belt for the balance shaft. You'll pick up about 5 hp and you won't notice any difference in vibration except at idle. And you won't have to worry about lining up the balance...
