I will have a grip/battery pack on every non-pro body I own. The balance is 100x better with the extra size and weight that a grip brings.

I also wouldnt let a package deal with the 75-300 be a deal breaker for me. I have used my 75-300 once, that was to put my tc on it and see what 420mm looks like. Needless to say it was not sharp....

The biggest issue is in fact your camera. Point and shoots are good for wide angle concert...

Build quality ALONE is the one reason that I will never buy another rebel. It was a great starter camera with a grip. But once I held a pro-sumer/pro body, I decided I would never go back.

For sure. If your budget is around $1000, your options are definately the 60d or the 5d classic. Now it is just full frame v.s. crop and refurb v.s. used. Good Luck!

Did you add grain to them? They look like you underexposed in camera then tried to fix it by pulling up the exposure in post. Not bad shots though.
