You could very well be correct. My 96 F22B2 had one. Just thought I would give you a heads up that there is an issue with the seals and if your engine doesn't have one, there is a retainer available....

The head bolts can be reused. I have reused the head bolts once or twice with no issues. I don't see it being an issue for a quick test to reuse the head gasket.
