basic subwoofer wiring

ok not real shure if it been covered or not but ill try and help some of the new guys that are not real familiar with wiring subs so you dont go out and blow the crap out of you new or old amps..lol i have some links to help out

This subwoofer wiring application includes diagrams for Single Voice Coil (SVC) and Dual Voice Coil (DVC) speakers. A SVC speaker has one voice coil and one set of terminals, one positive (+) and one negative (-). A DVC speaker has two voice coils, each with its own set of terminals. Because of this, DVC speakers (typically subwoofers) offer more wiring options than SVC speakers.

Two 2 ohm Dual Voice Coil (DVC) Speakers

Three 6 ohm Dual Voice Coil (DVC) Speakers

there is a lot of different setups but these are the common that i have used and the12volt.com is a ok site for new guys to go and lookup some basic stuff.
