stock green
anyways today I went to put back the front lowering springs. its a 1 hour job at most right?
WRONG! the fucking top hat bushing was fucked up. the springs top would not go into the top hat. I struggled with it for hours. finally I said fuck it! I put the top hat loosely & let the cars weight pop them in. Ill have to inspect them tomorrow during daylight. I also noticed the front shocks are worn out! & theres no bottom out bushing. so I added some sway bar bushings to it cuz I didnt have the correct ones. I have to inspect the rears tomorrow too. cuz if the fronts were done so shitty I can only imagine how badly dont the rears are. in the end I finished after 5 hours of mosquito filled work
I also changed the tranny fluid for Pennzoil GM synchro fluid. the tranny only had about 1 quart of fluid left. cuz some one left the drain bolt loose...

update...
last week I had a mayor problem. I boke 3 passenger side axles in one day. all 3 broke when I was far from home. they kept braking at the inner joint. one was brand new. the other 2 were old ones. they were all 4th gen ones. so I had to get a brand new 5th gen axle. it seems like its fixed for now. but I still have the drivers side axle thats also a new 4th gen one. that Ill soon get for a 5th gen.
also today I checked the brake system. cuz it seems like the brakes are acting up again. it feels like the calipers/shoes are lightly grabbing the disks/drums. its grabbing it enough to keep the car from rolling on inclines sometimes. I think it could be 2 things. the brake booster, cuz its from the junkyard. or it could be the drums/disks, sence they got warpped that day I had to drive it home 2 miles with the calipers fully locked on. also I noticed while I was cleaning the inner working of the drum brakes that I got no more brake shoes left! its just the metal backing. so I need to pull the rear disks off the CB9 ASAP.
I also saw that theres some leak. it could be the cam seals (for the 3rd time) or the one of the PS hoses hanging over the axle. cuz if it leaks the axle will toss it up the side of the engine.
other that that I put on a friends rims & yakima roof rack. looks hot! pics coming soon!
heres whats new on the wag...
passenger axle
painted front calipers gray
cleaned rear caliper
added the CB9 hitch

update...
so I got more problems!
after changing the master cylinder for the brakes, I still get stuck brakes. its really fucking annoying! Im gunna now try to swap the booster, do the rear disks, & get now rotors for the fronts now.
another thing is that on my way to orlando this past weekend, my clutch master cylinder went out too. to I had a hard time shifting. when I got there I had to spend $60 on another. & I spent the good part of the weekend working on it at the HH. my whole fucking weekend wasted cuz of the damn CE1.
& when driving home it started acting up again!!!
