    S/T Swaybar question

Sorry to create another thread after the other one was closed, but sometimes links and searching DO NOT give conclusive answers, contrary to what everyone seems to believe. I have a very specific question for anyone who has the S/T sway bar(s) installed.

My car is a DX, which means it didn't come with a rear sway bar, will installing a rear S/T sway bar be a simple bolt-up operation, or will it require some modification? (cutting, drilling, tapping, etc...)
I read somewhere that marijuana effects the memory. For some reason I can't seem remember where I read that. -- max sideburn(aka torqstr)

well mine never came with a rear antisway bar either and its a 92 lx so we are almost in the same boat. Its a simple bolt-on but theres also another slight factor im sure youve heard of one of the members here on cb7tuner he goes by the name uncle el. His exhaust consisted of a 2.5 in diameter catback. Now the thing is with this is with the 2.5 it was banging up against it with the vibrations and all and all you hear is light tapping. Now also remember if you have a 2.25 exhaust yo will have no problems fitting i I know i didnt and my exhaust is custom. theres no cutting or drilling or tapping involved. Minimum time to do it and tighten down and double check shit over is 30 minutes tops.

I take it that it bolts into existing mountimg locations/holes and if so, have these ever given out on anyone? I have seen a rear sway bar rip out of the mounts it had on an EF civic and i sure don't want that to happen.

I've got a WS2 and mine doesn't hit. All depends on how good your exhaust hangers are I guess.

As for installation. Once you figure out the hardware stackup, it should take about 15 minutes tops to put it in. Here's what it will look like in case you're wondering....

cool thanks for all the help guys. Mine's in the mail I can't wait to reduce that FWD understeer.

How much of a difference does it really make?

It won't get rid of the understeer completely. You can't get rid of it all on a FWD car. But, it will help the rear rotate easier and earlier. So in that repsect, it makes a huge difference.

i have one of these and it is amazing... def. one of the things that i will always do to any of my cars... it basically paid for itself two days after install when i was able to steer my way out of an accident...and i decided to undercoat mine because i got tired of looking at the bright green under my car.... but unfortunately mine does rub anytime i take it to a shop they always tell me that its rubbing ... annoys the crap outta me

edit: the shop telling me its rubbing not the bar itself
