I agree with RedDeathCoupe, they are the same. Who cares about your Malibu, this is CB7tuner. Quit being so damn ignorant and find a different board to post on. Hey gigante, your screen name represents your ego, not your penis size...quit trying to compensate for it.

By the way..... 2.6 is god.

This is what I cant seem to understand about most of the stubborn domestic "horsepower/displacement" guys. If we were really going for just power, we would buy an old crappy domestic. The fact is that we also want to have 4 or 5 seats, we want a nice looking car, we want dependability, we want some degree of luxury(not mercedes luxury, but a soft ride etc...), we want it cheap... Our cars are going for what... 2000-4000 in good condition. For that, you can buy a 99 cavalier, and ours are 6-9 years older. Which one will crap out and die first, most likely the cavalier. And dont say that it only goes for the cavalier. American cars do what they are built for. They are built for that extra power, but they arent built to last. Ford pickups are one domestic that does actually stay around long. And beleive me, I am around domestic drivers all the time in michigan, and there is always something wrong w/their new cars.
Another thing we value is gas mileage. Im sure if I was ripping on my car, WOT everywhere, and you were babying yours, we would get close to the same gas mileage.... well im sure id get more but thats the whole point. Just imagine driving a 70 chevelle w/800 hp from florida to michigan every 3 months like I have to...now you would rather have the accord...thats what I thought.

But as I have realized, for some reason, domestic owners just dont comprehend anything that I just said. WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT TASTES is what it comes down to. But beleive me, yes, I would love to own a 69 chevelle, or a badass 67 mustang, but since i have more to worry about in life than just being fast, I make a compromise.

and sorry, sure i made some run on sentences, but go ahead and make fun of me

wow i think this thread was started back when i just joined here. i havent even seen it in a while. i got another car awhile ago so i only come to this forum every so often. I dont want to start anything but just clear up a couple things. i am not this EL Biggo character and i dont know if he is kidding or serious. i wouldnt go through all that stuff to create a name just to post a few times to try and prove a point. Secondly, 91accordexr33, my name is actually my last name it isnt gigantic and its not about my ego or penis so stop trying to get a quick laugh, cause it didnt work.

Giganto kicked me to the curb! I can't believe it, he was supposed to help me with my 1000hp junkyard build up!

Deevergote, you bet your ass 250HP is not a street car! 12.5 = 116oct = fill it up in your garage only = not a viable street car.

104mph is VERY impressive nonetheless. 2point6, mind if I ask you why? You'd most likely run faster with FI on pump.

If you did it to do it, thumbs up!

                Tom

Oh, 91Accord, 2point6 is not God. Bring a 13sec car to the drags you are bottom of the barrel. THIS IS A RACER!

Check the cam specs! This is a street car, add on one sec for pump gas!

EDIT: Much respect to 2point6, you turn your own wrenches, I love you. Keep up the good work, I wasn't trying to put you down, just wondering why you went NA?

Yeah. I've heard that 220whp from a H22A is really pushing it... Anything more than that is really interesting!

I hope to have 350-400whp sometime in the future... Just enough to be able to run a 12 second 1/4. I don't need any faster.

350hp should be easy 11's in an Accord. Go with an auto if you turbo it (think BIG boost off the line).

I did some simple power to weight calculations, and found that with my stock weight, and with me in the car, I would need 350 to the wheels for 12 flat. That's not considering the countless other factors, but I'm using it as a guideline. Of course, that also means like 16psi as well! I think I would only want to run 10 or so on the street... I hate having to specially adjust my car for racing. I want to race the same as I drive.

                        I've run 11.8-9 consistent @112 in a 3600# car.

I launch well though, these times are @ 1.6 60.

                        Tom

I drive a Regal, it's a killer on the track.

EDIT: That's a 1/4, not much to offer in the twisty bits.

Here you go. Boost street or strip, no excuses.http://members.cox.net/stevemonroe/AlcoholInjMod.html

This is how I race, I am able to run 22psi w 70/30 on pump.

Another option, I know you guys have this info, I just have these charts at hand (always!):

WOW... This thread started up again... Oh well. El Biggo, My engine... or car for that matter is my daily driver. It is 12/1 compression and I do run on 91 octane (that is the highest availible here). I really try not to add any type of octane booster as I have been very skeptical of almost every brand out there. Believe me that when I get outside of my community and find 92+ octane the car of course runs better. My dyno figures were run on 91 octane as well.
MY track times might seem a bit slow, but since you do seem to have some track experience, then you know how elevation effects how cars run. Our elevation here is 3100FT. This is the second highest NHRA track in the nation. If I were to go to a lower elevation, who knows what the car might run. I hope to go to California later this month to see what will happen. I am told that .6-.8 sec is possible at sea level, what do you think? I am not sure.
As far as th NA route was concerned, I know boost is faster, but There are few NA accords that run as fast as mine. At the track I get quite a bit of the V8 crowd coming over and talking to me now... at first they laughed (since it was a Honda), but when they found out it was just a 4 cylinder and that was it they gave me some respect. There are a couple of other Accords who are running 13's all motor, but their's are completely gutted (to the point taking the glove box out and rear bumper off), whereas my car is still a "car". I am not a fool by thinking I am the fastest or the king, (don't call me Elvis...) I respect all fast cars. Domestic or import alike. I just chose the accord because it is what I had. I have owned a "fast" '64 cutlass 442 and a 73 El Camino with a built 327, but both of those cars ran similar times to what I have now. The advantage I have now is still gas mileage. I miss those cars, but I am having fun with the "underdog grocery getter" thank you for the respect.

Faster than the fastest all-motor Ford Focus I just thought I would add that.

2point6 man, to have a daily driver with that kind of work done to it is impressive.
