Listed my 1989 Accord SEi Coupe on Bring A Trailer

Well the day has finally come. As of 11:15AM July 2nd my SEI I found in Tucson, AZ back in Dec 2017 is up for auction. Finally got everything fixed on it, just put a new radiator with Type 2 Honda coolant and charged up the AC and painted some trim pieces this week.

First time listing a car on that site, and at No Reserve, so i'm a bit nervous, but having a bid placed within 3 min of the auction going live settled some anxiety.

Go check it out if you're interested.

The first bid is pretty clever...1989. I hope you get more then that for it. Good luck with the sale! I’ll be sharing your link.

yeah I was stoked to get the BaT email saying the auction was live, then immediately after another bid email which made me happy someone appreciated it.

A lot of people disliked the side moldings I'm noticing but they're riveted to the doors and body unfortunately by the stupid dealer instead of 3M taped on there.

I didn’t even notice that. Such an odd placement for side molding.

Yeah! that was a coincidence. I like the seafoam green color on it.

Well just an update, the car sold! It was a bidding frenzy in the last 10 minutes of the auction. It almost doubled in price in the final few minutes. People kept bidding at the last second resetting the 2 minute timer to push it 10 minutes past the auction time.

It fetched pretty good money @ $5,800. The new owner lives in Rancho Mirage, CA in the mountains somewhere so it'll be going to a nice climate for the next part of its life.

Sad to see such a well kept car go, but it would've only sat in my parent's garage in AZ while I'm here in MI, not being driven and appreciated so it had to go.

A 2001 Prelude Type SH 5MT sold for $6500 too, so that auction site really gets you top dollar for your car. Might be worth a shot if anyone here has a pristine CB7 they're willing to let go. If its a manual car, it'll get a huge premium I've found out.
