    EXT: DIY Grill 9091

After so many PMs/requests here is the DIY.
I know there are plenty of DIY grilles out there but everyone does it different.

    Tool I used:
got it from: walmart, home depot, etc.

    Extra junks:
got it from: ebay, junk yard, craigslist, etc.

Get 90-91 grille, flip over and unscrew it all:

Once its a part cut where I mark it RED:
A small saw will work just fine.

Will look like this after cut:
    Won't need the bottom part.

Use top part and screw it back with chrome part like this:

You could just install it on car and call it done or paint it black but for me I add little more extra.

Glue H emblem from behind FIRST:
Used glue gun first to hold it in place then follow by GOOP(this will hold it forever.

    Now glue bar grill:
Again glue gun first then follow by GOOP

NOTICE the bar grill is not straight up.
Be sure to angle it like this if not the Accord badge later will be straight up/flat onto the bar grill.:

Now you can glue Accord emblem on or not up to you.

An old pics of it on the car:

Please keep your "negative feedback" to yourself.

                  its an ugly write-up

                  to answer question:
mesh grille/bar grille can be pickup from any auto part store or got Home Depot just look for something similar.

Wow great writeup, I never thought about taking all of the excess plastic off the back. I still have the black plastic of the frame all around on the back.

                    Thanks

Nice job, but I recommend using something like JB Weld instead of hot glue. it will hold stronger and last longer.

Hot glue is only for it to hold for a second so just incase you mess up you won't have to worry about anything.
I used GOOP and had that diy grille for more than 4 years now. Still as good as the first day..

                        Either way works...
