ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Pictures of how CB7's look after being lowered...

I have noticed alot of talk about lowering and who does what and why and for how much....lol

I'll be doing it eventually and it would be great to see what different springs and setups look like and would benefit us all I think to decide how low to go.

Just so we can see what it looks like and get an idea...the more pics the better !

If you want, posts pics of your CB7 and fill in:

    Make of front struts:
    Make of front springs:

    Make of rear shocks:
    Make of rear springs:

    Rim size:
    Tire Profile:
Amount of drop suggested by Manu.:
    Actual drop:
    Est. Cost:

    Your feedback after it's done:

Just use questions above as a template...lol

Hey man welcome to the forum. I think you might be able to find out a lot of the information that you are seeking by browsing through the members rides threads.

    http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=42

Most people list down what suspension they are running as well as which wheels and tires. Good luck with your car bro.

      Hi there...

Ya I've been a member for awhile. I was the only Canadian to goto the Ocean Shores meet. (.. and found out my head gasket was blown...lol....she lasted 900 km though, all the way home...lol )

I wanted to have a thread that was short and simple and nothing but specs and 1 or 2 images rather then clicking forever on links on members rides.

pics of my Spec A-II with Dropzone lowering springs.(nice ride but i wanted to go lower.)

        Make of struts: OEM
        Make of springs: Dropzone

        Rim size: 16"
        Tire Profile: 50
Amount of drop suggested by Manu.: 2.5f, 2.2r
        Actual drop: N/A
Est. Cost: $144(thats with springs shipped)

          Here's my ride:

          Make of struts: OEM
Make of springs: ebay adjustable coilovers

          Rim size: 16"
          Tire Profile: 40
Amount of drop suggested by Manu.: adjustable 1-4" drop
          Actual drop: approx 2.5-3"
          Est. Cost: $100 (shipping in)

Your feedback after it's done: I loved the new low stance, and the fact that when winter comes around with a few turns of a wrench I can have it raised up to clear the snow. It rides very stiff, but I like it, and it corners like a dream. Everyone will tell you don't go with ebay springs, but I'm extremely happy with them. I could go lower with it too, maybe for shows, but for everyday driving it's already rubbing and scraping.

            Sorry for the small pic.

Make of struts: OEM front, Tokico Blue Rear
            Make of springs: Arospeed coilovers for a civic (450 F / 350 R)

            Rim size: 15"
            Tire Profile: 195/60R15
Amount of drop suggested by Manu.: adjustable 1-4" drop
Actual drop: As much as I could, staying off the bumpstops. Im thinking like 3.5 / 4"
Est. Cost: Probably a hun... but I got mine used for $40

Thoughts : Looks baller, rides pretty damn good. The spring rates are PERFECT. Im going to raise the front struts though so I can grab another 1" in the front and still have suspention travel. Also switching to 195/50R15's

                Nope..

But 90% of my driving is on the 401, and its half assed OK.

Oil pans ARE a "wear and tear" item...... right?

I don't have pics but you can browse my MRT...ill add pics later.

                  Front and Rear struts/shocks: OEM
Front and Rear springs: Neuspeed sports

Drop is about inch and a half.

Wheels and tires: 15'' 96 ITR with Hankook Ventus tires.

It rides great and looks good imo but it could ride better if it was paired with aftermarket shocks.

                    cheap coilover
                    15" ITR's w/ 195/65/R15 tirs

There's already a thread similar to this, just without the pictures. People post what suspension setups they have and rate them.
