    Thinking about a 1995 Lexus SC400

Came across someone selling a 1995 Lexus SC400 with about 150,000 miles for $3,500. I didn't get to see it in person, but we exchanged words and information. He tells me it's clean, and he bought it from someone who purchased it brand new in '95.

I'd like to see some pro's/con's on the SC400. I wish it was the SC300 with the 2JZ, but I'm really contemplating picking this SC400 up.

I've seen that video quite a few times. I love how SC's look when they are done right. I have always wanted a 1998 GS300 for some reason, but my second choice would be the SC models. I will definitely at least check out his SC400 and see what's up.

I love that shit. If I could find a GS300 for the right price around here, I would hop on it immediately. Black/Black leather would hit the spot.

the sc400 isnt really VIP status like the GS is. its a sports luxury. a 15 second sports luxury with like 18mpgs lol. its small inside too. overall it is a nice car. but you want a GS then save for a GS! i love the SC400 mainly for the sound of that V8 with intake and exhaust (muffler delete lol). even straight piping it..yummy

check for PS and A/C on these cars. they tend to go out all the time!

The 1uz is an amazing motor...very well built...there isn't much you can through at it that it can't handle

From what I've read (years ago, though) the 1uz is tough to mod.

The SC is beautiful if it's in nice shape. A shame that all the V8s are automatic, especially the "sporty" SC, but still really nice.

I always viewed the GS as the "I couldn't afford an LS" model. If you want VIP, go LS. If you want kinda sporty, the SC works wonders.

yea pretty much. they do mid muffler deletes on TL's and other cars all the time. no real gain in HP. just for sound.

and yes the 1uz is a tough ass motor. and it does suck aftermarket support is lacking . if anything, you can always buy an ls400 supercharger and adapt it on there

X2 about the SC it is a beautiful.

but when it comes to the GS I think its more tuner luxury ( if that makes cents) I see the LS as VIP luxury on a higher level.

What tranny do u use to make a GS, LS, SC 5 speed
