ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Greetings from Finland

Hi! Finally decided to sign up and start sharing my own passion about cb's

Shortly, Located in Finland and gonna post project story about my cb along the way

    About the car
    -92 CB3 with f20a2 stock engine.

Gonna go with mixed stance/vip/lowrider theme on this one

    -D2 coilovers all around
-Rota 17x9 offset +25 (rear has 25mm spacers)
    -Modified bumpers in build
    -saabs engine swap in build

Soo, after the car sitting in the garage waiting for motivation i've decided to roll up my sleeves and start working on it.

Bcs the body is heavily rotten, we are gonna make it wide, low and fast at the same time...

Im going to ask a lot of stupid and not stupid questions along the way. But were not gonna let that disturb us right?

Let the photos speak for themsleves (if they work properly)

    Btw hello to everyone
    Regards - Henkka

Yeah, saabs engine is easier to swap legally here in Finland with boost than 4 example turboed k-series.. And theyre supercheap versus hondas own engines... 😂
Theres gonna be a hell of a lot of wiring, engine mounting and custom driveshaft machining. Aint the easiest way i know 😂😂

But i love the sound of boosted saab with 3" exhaust. Sobthats the way we are heading 😂😂

Flares and fenders will be made out of metal, fiberglass will act huge part in the bodykit making

Few words about the "bodykit", im struggling on the design of the sideskirts, but rear bumper gonna start taking shape in a next week and gets it first cuts.
Front bumper is going to be stock with modded Renault fogs and grill. Frontlip is made out of another stock front bumper cutted and flipped upside down + carbon diffuser lip under it.
            [IMG][/IMG]

I also have "honda oem bodykit" in delivery. Havent decided yet should i sell it or should i make it a functional option bodykit 4myself[IMG][/IMG]

                  Thanks for the warm welcome

My biggest problem on the engine swap is going to be the soul life of saabs trionic 7 engine control.
Not sure if im gonna change it to megasquirt or sumthing else.
But b4 that ill make complete service for engine after ill pull it out from the saab..

Right now, im more hyped about the bodymods and how to make this shitbox low as possible without any onikyan camber shit. (its my little shitbox, imma call it that way and theres not enough words to describe how much i love it. So no hard feelings in my coise of words to talk about cb )

Any suggestions about "building on a budget" are heard. Except ur gonna throw ideas like "cut the springs" or "bag it"... Man, shut up. Its gonna be static.

Interior is also a big question mark. Besides the front seats. Headrest delete on those and blsck leather. Thats all ive desided so far.

Build might take a while. Im trying to play dad at the sane time for two prinsesses, so dont yell at me if i dont make any progress fast

                    Foolin around and adjusting

Soo, nothing special today. Just adjusted ride height on coils and took the tyres off from wheels in front for ssmaller tyres to come.. With my little helper onboard
Pulled few designs on bumpers and skirts also..
But lets keep it a secret 4 a while just a little longer 😂

Next thing is to figure out how to make suspension work properly with that height 🤪

But. I kinda like it, how about u guys?

Just a minor update here, meanwhile running between home and work i had a little time to decide interior colour scheme. We're gonna go with brown leather (fake leather 4 now). With green stitching.
                      [IMG][/IMG]
                      [IMG][/IMG]
I got coupe's rear seat and im going to make it fit into 4dr. So we're fonne delete the middle seat.

I've made few drawings about my door cards. Thinking about modifying them with carbon fiber.

So guys, here's a task. Throw some ideas about sterringwheel and other stuff. Im a littlebit at the deadend right now.

Imma update the bodywork right away when i'll make time to make progress on it 😂

Nothing special, just took the car 4 a spin on new tyres and the final height. [IMG][/IMG]
Highest section on the roof is 127cm and it will fit under that garage door 😂

Time to disassembly the engine [IMG][/IMG]

I think those fender flares really set the tone of this build. I’m really digging them. Which I was handy at body work.

Yea, the fenders are the main thing to make the car pop from others (at least here in finland) and my goal is to make it drivable with 17" and as low as possible. Its gonna be daily afterall. 😂

Idea for the flares came when i was looking for ls400 ffor vip project but i decided to make cb into wide vip 😂
Rear wheels are like said earlier 17x9 offset 0 (because i have 25mm spacers at back) and i have currently project wheels wich r going to be at least 17x10 in front and 17x11 at back, so theres going to be clearance for those wothout the need of making flares all over again..

Sneak peak for the project wheels (originally ATS Hammers)

Took the car for s spin yesterdayvto test rideheight and started to remove original sound deadening mats away from rust removal work.. So nothing special here, but i love the way how she looks 😍
Rear is going to drop a little more tho...
