great write up!
and i love the red colour......
i cut my housing as well.but i didn't cut it so big and i painted it flat black,so it's not very visible.
I end up turning the reflector bowl up side down just to let the bottom part of the shroud to be visible(the projector sit higher) because most of the time we see the car from a higher view so it's not that obvious by hiding the top area of the shroud.

Would you recommend doing this with the MC-R shroud [including the CCFL] http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...oducts_id=1355
I think this would look cool but i think the CCFL will get in the way when cutting the shroud to fit into the housing. Any input on this ?

Morimoto Retro Fit Question
Here is a quick question i ran into.
is the metal part pictured supposed to sit up on that ridge or is it supposed to be down in the hole.
So basically am i supposed to shave down the ridge it sits on so it goes down into the hole?
this is the pic in the DIY
is it sitting down in the grove or on top of it?

i messaged the guy that made the DIY but he has not been on for about 5 days so im waiting on that.
btw for any one doing this when cutting the plastic wear a mask. i didnt now my stomach hurts =(
