EXT: Pinstripe Removal w/o Razor blades

Alright...to start out, my pin stipe looked/looked like poop

    Materials
    -Drill
    -3M Pinstripe wheel (Part # 3M 7498)
    -Lighter Fluid
    -1 Rag/Cloth
    -Time

    The 3M Wheel needed

Make sure the Wheel is in the drill secure...it will bounce around if your not careful!

Hold the Drill like so, Putting your Fingers between the drill and the car itself.

Move Forward with the wheel and take it back in a swirling motion getting all the pin strip possible, just dont hold it in one spot. It will start burning the clear coat on your car!
***NOTICE***The residue on the car in the pic above, WILL come off with the lighter fluid and a shop rag or any soft cloth.

This is the Lighter Fluid I recommend for getting to job done.

The out come is pretty good...I plan on replacing my Gold stripe.

one of the best diy's b/c everyone hates the OEM pintstripe and doesn't know how to take it off (aside from using a razor and scratching the hell out of the paint)

looks good, I added the 3M part number, I think napa carries them, if not them, then any bodyshop supply store should be able to help ya.

Another quick and easy way, Heat Gun, Plastic scraper, then medium cut polish to blend out the little scuffs that are left.

The wheels shouldnt be spun at more than 2000 or 3000 rpm. If you kept it against the car, you should be fine on the lowest setting of 5000rpm. the only problem is that I think the mandrel for the wheel is too big for most dremel tools.

I am sure you could try to rig up something to work by using one of the dremel mandrel and getting something stuck in the middle... Only problem is you have to be able to put some pressure on it. Just use it as an excuse to buy a drill... i do it all the time
