Not as much as you would think. The bumper cover I cut pretty much the entire bottom part gone. There is maybe half an inch left on the bottom splash guard/diffuser thing. Like I mentioned before. I don’t have enough meat to really attach a lip. I’m sure I could make some brackets. As for the reinforcement bar it’s pretty thinned out I can snap pics next time I take the bumper off. But taking the bumper off is easy as it’s only held on by the two bolts that feed into the engine bay and then the quick releases on the fenders.

I’m fighting a boost creep issue right now. It hold solid in 1,2 gear at 15 psi. But then once I hit 4500 rpm( when the cam really does it’s magic) In 3, 4th gear the boost creeps all the way up to boost cut (20psi). I took the MAC solenoid out the equation last night, thinking maybe it failed. But still creeped, so my issue is with the wastegate not opening fully, as a 38 should be able to manage 15psi.

I’m just in the Jet phase of Flight school and it demands a lot of my time to study and then balance the other time with my family. So car wrenching time is extremely limited.

Good to meet you in person. Thanks for the ride! (my first in a boosted Accord). It'll prepare you for the kick in the backside you get from the F414 engines in the F18.

Edit: Now I'm not so sure I should thank you for the ride, Ruby feels really anemic in comparison.

Lol! Glad to finally meet you as well Paul! Glad you enjoyed the ride and Ruby is all about comfort! I’m looking forward to that 28,000lbs of thrust those engines produce for sure.

Continuing on with my boost creep trouble shooting, the other day I applied 18-20psi with my air compressor to the wastegate to see if it opens up fine. Which it did and it stayed open as long as the pressure is applied. I looked over the diaphragm for any holes and couldn’t find any. Maybe it’s just time to upgrade to a 44mm.
The problem is my manifold is built for a 2 bolt, so I will either have to buy an adaptor or see if Blake can cut off the 2 bolt and weld on a v band. Then I will also have to modify the dump tube as well.

Money, money, money is all this thing is asking for.

Was your manifold made for a 38mm or a 44mm?

I don’t believe the manifold was built specifically for either wastegate. As Blake added the port for the wastegate after the manifold was complete. I think the only thing that decides if it’s a 38 or 44 is the flange itself. As the tubing for the wastegate is the same size as the runners for the turbo.

I was and thought that, so that's why I disconnected the solenoid and put the wastegate straight to the intake manifold. I think the reason I wasn't seeing it in 1st and 2nd was due to me blowing through the gears before it had a chance to creep.

Much appreciated on the intercooler. I got an awesome deal on it many years ago.

So just been doing small things with the CB. I went to the junkyard and picked up an SE front lip as well as a center console, that I plan to paint black.

Glad the front isn't all naked, thought I will eventually get a more aggressive lip

I then got an awesome deal on Brand New FFC LCAs and Toe Arms which I immediately went to install and got greeted with seized toe arm bolts that I had to spend 4-5 hour with a hack saw to finally get them out.

                  Finished product:
(Sorry for the dark pic, I'll try and get a better one later)

Lol. I had the same problem with the same arm when installing my FnF lower arms. Was a good few hours of hacking away at that dam thing!

                    Looks good!

Do the passenger side arms lean on the exhaust at all on full droop? I can't tell if your exhaust is just hanging a bit low after the tank.

When it was jacked up in the air, yes the LCA was resting on the exhaust pipe. But on the ground I have a good 2-3” of clearance. So I’m not worried about it hitting the exhaust.

I’m half tempted now to create a fuel pump access hole in the trunk. I saw my leak is coming from the gasket and I really don’t want to drop the tank. It would require me to move the exhaust, heat shield and disconnect everything.

I looked at the DIY but the pictures are blurry so I can’t see his measurements. Does anyone have a the measurements or a good pic? Or have a fuel tank laying around and can measure for me.

These pics from my old sedan. I'd probably recommend against using a dremel like I did, though. Fuel leak + potential sparks = not a good way to go out. Note the hard line (what is that, brakes?) along the front edge of the hole.

Was that big enough to get the pump out? I may initially use the Dremel to start the hole then use tin snips once I can fit them in. When I go to make the cuts I’ll lower the tank as much as I can to create a good clearance.

Thanks for the pics those help a lot!

No problem; your timing was actually perfect, since I forgot I had created a second Photobucket account with an email I don't use. I just rediscovered it tonight, and have been pulling photos out of it. A lot of my timeline for that sedan had been lost!

It took some finagling, but I was able to do the pump swap with that hole. I'd make it a bit bigger next time around, for sure. My plan was to make an access panel for it like in other Hondas, all proper with rivnuts and a nice gasket-sealed lid, but I never got around to it before getting rid of the car.

I would use caution cutting a hole like that, I did on my old se and if you cut a little to far to the right like I did you will cut right through the tank. The good news is you can send a cutoff wheel threw the top of the tank and it wont explode or catch fire
