From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    ssautocrome turbos?

Yes yes, i know about ssautocromes problems and how everybody flames their products. and i know they are made cheaply compared to many name brand porduct, so there is no need to flame on it, we have all heard the bad things about them.

But... i have personaly read nothing on their turbos. Does anyone on here have experience with using there turbos? I would like to know much more on specificaly their turbos, not that im going to use one of theres but i would deff. consider if they really live up close to the standards on other name brand turbos. Please post ur comments or links that have ppl's comments that actually have used specificaly there turbos's.

    thanx.

theyre crap like all their other products. i know, and say this cuz im a member of hmt.com, and ppl on there have bought ssautochrome turbos, and the two halves fall apart. they are not glued together well at all. well, thats what they say, i have no personal experiences, but i trust what they say about turbo parts, and ssautochrome turbos, are crap my friend.

two haves come apart? what do your mean by this, the center housing comes apart?, or the turbines break apart? the exhaust ports splits in half? please elaborate if you remember.

i thouht that turbos were cast aluminum, if so the breaking in half would be due to poor qaulity casting. i could be wrong. just from hearing that, i wouldn't but one. later.

turbos are usually 2 halves . . . the compressor side, and the exhaust side . . . i thought they were bolted together . . . considering any glue would just melt under the heat that a turbo puts out

exactly... if the cast part is theonly part coming apart it wouln't be hared to use another turbos exhaust ar. thats why i really want to know what exactly is going wrong on these turbos to make them so shitty.

if they are coming apart what exact part is coming apart.

hence someone could buy one of these turbos and possiably fix it very easy.

I heard that their turbine can chip up and flyin to your block.

              A wise tuner once said:

              Cheap + Fast= Not Reliable
              Fast + Reliable= Not Cheap
              Cheap + Reliable= Not Fast

Same principle applies here. I was tempted to buy one, and I almost did. Thank God my ebay account got frozen at that time. I would have been really pissed.

chiping turbines any one got pics of these problems?

and on the chipedd turbine wheel's were they running the turbo open?

i agree with the cheap/ reliable

but also there are many things that cost alot that will yield you the same outcome as somthing much cheaper.

if i had to guess, i'd say poor design, not much r&d, and the wrong alloy's on their turbine housings with poor casting knowlage. later.

I saw that on Honda-Tech a while ago. It had an air filter on it and that still happened. It cost the kid a good amount of money too.

. Backfire, whats up with the Nitrous kit you were selling?

i was thinking of just using the center housing and turbine wheels in my garret t3 60's exhaust and intake housing's. since there only like 150 for the entire turbo, it would safe me the time from having to rebuild mine.

guess i better just take the time and buy the 100 dollar turbonetics complete center housing and put my crap in that, then get it balanced.

i just never liked how they charge like 600 and up for a t3t4 from other companys.
