    lowering car, which camber kit?

so i am planning to lower my car within the next few weeks.
i want to know how many degrees (approx.) my camber will change from a 2" drop.

I want to know this so that i know which camber kit to get. i see some kits that adjust from -1.5 to +1.5 degrees, +1.5 to +3, and so on. I would just get the kit with the largest range, but those are more expensive.

To sum up my question, what range camber kit would i need (if i even need one) for a drop of 2"?

Im on neuspeed race and i had about 2.9* on the right and 3.1* on the left when i did my alignment yesterday. I had the ingalls anchor bolt style camber kit for 1.5* to 3* of correction, but i didnt like how it pushed the control outward and made it "bang" against the frame rail. This was resulting in bent UCAs. I would reccomend taking a look at the Ball-joint style camber kits.

          cool cool.
do you know if the camber and toe can be set close to zero on a 2" drop?

Toe can be set to zero with any drop, and yes the camber can be set to zero with the ingalls anchor bolt kit but you may have to do a little "beating" on the frame rail so that your control arms wont hit.

I'd be more worried on toe rather than camber.

even if i set the toe, camber will still affect tire wear. anything that is -2.0 is going to wear fast

this is true ^ your tires will still wear with that kind of camber, most rookies dont know that lowering your car also affects the toe \\ //

like cakeboy says, that will make all the difference in your tire wear and handling as well. Im on a 2+in drop with no camber kit and Ive had the same tires (205/40 R17) on the front for a year now, im missing about an inch of tread on the insides, not bad for autozone specials for 65 a peice.

spc balljoint camberkits are nice... its what i have and i really like them... theres a spacer on top you can flip around to allow for more adjustment. i keep my spacer witht he short's adjustment so i still have a little camber and so the balljoints dont hit the inner fender...

I understand what you are saying. I know that it is going to affect the shoulder wear, versus the Scrubbing effect you would get with the toe being out. I really wore a set out back when i first lowered my coupe. I had no idea about alignments at the time.

Keep up on the rotations to make them last longer. (rears wear way slower even if there is -20 degrees of camber)
